Okie dokie, let's explore this! That's the whole reason why I threw the punch. I could've just said something like, "Islam brings a whole new meaning to the word PEACE", but that would've been dumb, uncalled for & rhetorical, which is why I went with a conversation starter.

Quote:Islam IS the fastest growing religion globally, yes that is true, and the fastest spread is happening in westren countries, Europe, Canada, USA, etc., and most in particular among women. Islam IS the fastest growing religion globally, yes that is true, and the fastest spread is happening in westren countries, Europe, Canada, USA, etc., and most in particular among women. Amazingly, in these countries, we dont hear about Muslims beating anybody to death, as John's article points out, so I guess it does not stand to reason that this is, in fact, the reason why Islam is spreading.

Here's my theory... Westerners are appalled by the lifestyle of secular society & so they search for a religion that is as far as you can get from the West (these same people associate Christianity with Western governments). In Australia, over the past decade, Buddhism has been the fastest growing religion. For Sis & Dan, both having a Catholic background, they believe in One God & rather than go back in time to Judaism (with no Jesus), they opt for Islam. It sets them apart from the sinners surrounding them & brings them closer to the Divine. Which is fine! That's great!

But here's the thing...

Luckily for Sis & Dan, the cost of apostasy in Christianity is nothing more than a prayer & blessing by their fellow Christians who wish them nothing but the best in life.

The cost of apostasy in Islam is quite the opposite. Do you ever stop to think how many Muslims in the East would leave Islam if they had freedom??? Actually, you'd be surprised to know that there are many underground Churches in countries like Iran, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, etc. There are also many people in Australia who were forced to escape their homelands in order to practice their Christian faith openly (these people are still registered as Muslims back home). Furthermore, I know several Muslims born in Australia (especially girls) who sneak out of home on Sundays to attend Mass behind their parents back. Just the other day I was in the girls bathroom at a shopping centre & this teenage girl was washing off her make-up, changing her outfit from tight jeans to a long loose skirt, pulling her hair back & wrapping her head with a veil, ready to go back home to Islam after a non-Islamic adventure.

Quote:But is it makes some people feel better to try and justify Islams growth that way, then so be it. Islam will continue to grow as long as there are people in search for the truth.

Actually, the growth of Islam used to keep me awake at night. I feared that one day if I'm blessed to have children, they'd probably grow up under Sharia Law. But after spending the past few months on IslamMessage learning about Islam, I breathed a sigh of relief & no longer felt threatened. I'll let you figure out why.

I'm anticipating your responses. But as usual, personal attacks, psycho analysis & insults will be ignored.

The growth of Islam IS promised by God, so no question about it. Islam is going to supersede all other way of lives, Islam is going to master them all, even if the unbelievers hated it.

In the next 20-50 years insh a Allah, Islam will enter EVERY HOUSE ON THIS EARTH. So watch out your kids.

Apostasy again FHC? i thought you already understood this matter? :conf06:

I dont expect that you will understand this concept FHC, but even if the christians would wish to kill me (and maybe that is not so far-fetched) it will not make me wish to turn my back on my faith. No matter what kind of obstacles the non-believers will try to put in the way, Islam is going to grow. In fact, they help us more than harm us.

take care

We really don’t care, Islam is going to grow as promised by God, and this is what matters.

If non-Islamic groups were severely persecuting Muslims & they chose to die as martyrs, obviously the growth of Islam will decline not increase.

According to the "Complete Idiot's Guide to Islam", the Sufi movement saved the Islamic race from becoming extinct between 1500-1900 when numbers were dropping rapidly (p339). Some might say its divine providence, others are predicting Islam won't be around next century. Time will tell, I guess!

Anyways, at the end of the day, statistics don't bother me personally. If 99% of the world's population were non-fanatical Muslims & only 1% were Christians, I'd be quite content. My concerns aren't with moderate Muslims, it's with extreme Islam!

You take care too, Sis!

P.S. I probably won't be around till after Easter.

God bless.
