Condition of Women in Other Nations Before Islam
#21

Quote:I could explain this ayat in The Noble Qur'an to you, but It wouldn't matter you are NOT a person who sincerly desires to understand Islam so I wont waste My time debating you on this topic, Rather I will ask you If You Believe In a holy text untainted which God sent down from the heavens which No Humanbeing has distorted? If so I can go to the next topic and Maybe If God wills I will get to the explanation of text like the one you cited... But for Now Lets talk about belief.... How do You believe in God? Where do you find His Laws and Rulings? How are they Explained?

Not from Mohammed that is for sure.

"How convenient for you that you do not have the time to explain away the obvious flaws in your "perfect religion". A religion that allows the beating of women and FGM."

Again... Why do you repeat the same questions that have been answered time and again? If you really care do a search and refresh your memory with answers that have already been given.

As Salam alaikum, abdulwalee

You will find that JD has asked every question that he can think of and they have been answered. He sees a new person on the board and starts regurgitating his same old things for his game of "got cha!" "catch up the muslims" or "look how smart I am." I am not sure the name of his game but he loves to play it. Can't think of any other reason for him to be on the board for over four years and still asking and saying the same old same old.

Just an FYI.

As Salam alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatu

Oh... my bad. I thought this was a message board and the whole point was to "chime in." Feel free to use the "PM" button for any member when you feel the need to keep the conversation intimate.

Do a search and pull up those answers that you did not find satisfactory. Point out exactly where the fallacy is and it will probably help "this forum member" (whose name is abdulwalee btw) see precisely where you need clarification.

Quote:abdulwalee,

I am curious why you use the bible (old testament specifically), to prove your assertion that the bible teaches bad things about women when your prophet himself used the same bible to issue justice?

If the bible is so corrupt as to degrade women then why was mohammed using it?

Thats Not true.... Be truthful it's close to piety

May Allah giide you to Islam, or break your back!

"You're deliberately missing the point Dan."

I must be an idiot, so why don't you lay it out for me.

"I don't believe abdulwalee has addressed this question previously so a search will do me no good."

You're deliberately missing the point JD. YOU asked these questions before, so pull up the threads in which they were addressed so my brother can fill in the blanks if you need it. That's what you meant by this quote, correct? "For another thing, any answer I did receive was not satisfactory."

Will you do this? I doubt it since you are not after truth but argumentation. Since you already have what you want, why would you put forth any effort to get something you don't want?

"Who am I to argue ?"

Now I'M laughing... (I'll have to put this under the things that make you smile thread.)

"I have posed a question to abdul, he can either answer it or not. It seems not. I wonder why?"

My guess (forgive me brother if I am wrong) is that he now knows your intentions for being on the board and is not interested in wasting time in an issue that has been addressed for you time and again.

Bismillah: Assalamo Alikum.

Ok here we go again, hopefully this time you will insh a Allah understand. :P

Wife beating is not allowed in Islam for any reason, except for the case of verses 4:34-35 when the wife intentionally disobeys her husband intentionally in what Allah Almighty has permitted for him upon her or flirts with other men and that is after he gives her two warnings to stop showing ill conduct and disloyalty toward him, in other cases, wife beating is totally forbidden in Islam.

Quote:Narrated Mu'awiyah al-Qushayri: "I went to the Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) and asked him: What do you say (command) about our wives? He replied: Give them food what you have for yourself, and clothe them by which you clothe yourself, and do not beat them, and do not revile them. (Sunan Abu-Dawud, Book 11, Marriage (Kitab Al-Nikah), Number 2139)"

Quote:Narrated Mu'awiyah ibn Haydah: "I said: Apostle of Allah, how should we approach our wives and how should we leave them? He replied: Approach your tilth when or how you will, give her (your wife) food when you take food, clothe when you clothe yourself, do not revile her face, and do not beat her. (Sunan Abu-Dawud, Book 11, Marriage (Kitab Al-Nikah), Number 2138)"

Verse 4:34 states "…but if they return to obedience, seek not against them Means (of annoyance): For Allah is Most High, great (above you all)."

Which clearly proves that the man can not bring the past of his wife as a tool against her to humiliate her or to discomfort her.

One important point: The door of mercy and forgiveness in this verse (4:34) is open for all women if they decide to repent. This clearly proves that Islam is a beautiful religion and a merciful one too.

Salam

Wael.
