In the Name of God - Creator Redeemer Sanctifier.

Quote:FHC, when we discussed pre destination, we discussed in relation to the human choice aspect, correct? we were discussing whether or not after maturity, we are able to make choices of being obedient, believers, or not.

But we cannt choose our time of death, birth, nor the place, of both. See this is part of Ghayb (unknown). I dont want to elaborate here, rather not to get off topic. I reall dont want to hijack this thread, this is a very touching and deeply sentimental thread.

But Insh aAllah I will search the thread we discussed this on and add up to it. Certainly I will appreciate u directing me to it, to save time. :) We dont want u tossing around.

Hi Muslimah,

Wael & I took it a step further in 'A Tragedy'. It was also briefly discussed in 'A Comparison' & 'Repentance (I think).

In the interest of this thread, I won't elaborate either :)

Thanks & peace be with you!

"I can't think of anything more evil than innocent people being blown up..."

You would rather they die while they are committing crimes or oppressing others? I have also be perplexed by how many (not all) christians think that anyone dying is a tradgedy. Everyone will die. I would much rather die innocent in an explosion than an evil sinner in my nursing home.

Generally, I don't have issues with death... especially considering Jesus Christ fully conquered it. The Crucifixion is a symbol of victory not humiliation.

I do have issues with people (regardless of creed) who don't value life as a gift from God & take it upon themselves to end their life as well as the lives of innocent human beings without consent.

I pray that nobody dies in a state of mortal sin, Dan - whether it be in a nursing home or in an explosion.

Lord have mercy.

Hi... right here! It is okay to talk directly to me. Where is my obsession with violence? Please use quotes from what I have written. Feel free to dig as much as you need bc I have never condoned violence against innocent people. You get so up at arms when someone states a blanket statement against your views but you do it ALL THE TIME for muslims.

You see muslims, the obsession with life and pleasure that secularism installs in its followers. JD provides us with a perfect example of the kafir view of the world.

Anything to stay alive as long as possible with as much pleasure as possible. so scared of that final moment...

Ert?

I said, "I would much rather die innocent in an explosion than an evil sinner in my nursing home."

It seems like you need a reading comprehension course. Note the words "innocent" and "evil sinner." I'll give you a converse so maybe you can understand better. I would rather die innocent in a nursing home and an evil sinner in an explosion. Oh... Get it now. Nothing to do with HOW I die but rather what STATE I die in.

Let me know if you need more help.

Assalamu alykum, Dan!

I totally understand where you're coming from in regards to sin/innocence... but I'm still trying to come to terms with the following quote:

Quote:The bombs don't kill unless it is Allah's Will.

It's not too late to take it back, ya know... alternatively, you may wish to enlighten us.

May Allah's will be done ;)

Sorry brother Dan for jumping in.

As a Muslimah I believe that is Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala that gives us our life and He is the One that takes it away from us.

This meaning that I cannot, even if I have been given a free will decide when I shall be born, neither can I decide when I will die.

Can you?

''Blessed be He in Whose hands is Dominion; and He over all things hath Power;-

He Who created Death and Life, that He may try which of you is best in deed: and He is the Exalted in Might, Oft-Forgiving'' The Qur'an 67:1-2

Dan, Sobhan Allah, after posting the previous reply, i was reciting Quran and look what Allah Say:

Beautified is the life of this world for those who disbelieve, and they mock at those who believe. But those who obey Allâh’s Orders and keep away from what He has forbidden, will be above them on the Day of Resurrection. And Allâh gives (of His Bounty, Blessings, Favours, Honours on the Day of Resurrection) to whom He wills without limit.

Quran 2:212.
