Why on earth are you forbidden to imitate Christians? What's so evil about Blessed Mother Teresa, St Francis of Assisi, John Paul II, St Charbel, St Vincent de Paul, St Clare, etc?
Are Muslims allowed to name their sons Jesus considering He's a "prophet" in Islam?
I've been told by Muslims that "Mohammad" means "praised one", but from my understanding of Arabic - at least in my (Lebanese) dialect - Mohammad is the word used to describe one who is "baptized". Is there a connection?
Thanks & God bless.
Hi FHC,
Why do you assume the reason for not imitating Christians is because Christians are evil? :conf06:
We are Muslims. God's last and final messenger to all of mankind left us with the Quran and the Sunnah. Why will we need to imitate the ways of the Christians? I think you will not expect that Christians should imitate the ways of the hindus?
I know alot of Muslims with the name of Jesus, but usually they opt for the Arabic version of the name: Eesa.
Take care
