Was Muhammed(saws) Violent?
#11

Bismillah

Quote:i've just re-read most of this.. (trying to find a little common ground to work with..)

where does all this biz about him being a warmonger come from??

i know in medieval times ppl married quite young.. how old was his wife aisha? with the social framework of today some people might call that pedophilia (please excuse that word but how else do i say it?)

i like him already ;)

it's gaining popularity in prisons also.. especially with black people (i think i can see why)

nice stuff.. interesting.. why is Allah called God here? more hmm.. it also says "WE" created you (etc)

-- about this.. (compared to a 'JUST' war) i also had problems with statements like that in the bible.. the only thing that comes to mind FOR it is if i remember correctly the amalakites were descendants of nephilim -- and HAD to be purged.. (are nephilim the same as djinn?)

if you could point me to some url's where i can get some concrete info on stuff like muhammed being peacefull (as u mention) would help me out here

salam Unit

You actually again posed numerous questions that address various issues. To make things easier, do a search on those points, specially the We part. Insh aAllah this site has been on for quite sometime, and those issues are already tackled. If u still need help. More than ready Insh aAllah. :) (The translators who took the burden of translating the Quran resorted to using God instead of Allah to faciliate addressing non Arabic speakers, personally I always use Allah).

And here is a thread dedicated to learn about Messenger Mohamed prayer and peace be upon him including even all the controversial issues that are usually raised up:

Just a quick note here unit, try to reflect on something, did u notice any other man, who occupied a prominent position among his people that sustains to date (religion wise), who was subject to such slandering, aggression, attacks...etc from his opponents? just think about this. The more his followers grow, the more this hostile approach simultanously grows as well.

Just think about this point.

Moreover, Unit, this approach is clearly described in Quran:

"Hatred has already appeared from their mouths, but what their chests conceal is far worse" (Quran 3:118)
