In the Name of God - Father (Love) Son (Grace) Holy Spirit (Truth)

May the peace of Christ be with you all.

Quote:we are living those blessed days of dhul Hija which makes muslims somehow busy in different kinds of worship and voluntary acts to come closer to Allah

Kel eid wa enti bikair :)

Quote:Moreover, the Muslim Ummah is one body, we ach for whoever aches FHC

Humanity in general ought to! This 'dog eat dog' world is taking its toll on me :(

Quote:In fact, the current situation, if persisted, shall lead to nowhere but more war

Insha'Allah no! Let's continue praying for peace.

Quote:In regard to us as being what exactly, me and others would simply categorise ourselves as Muslims, simply Muslims.
The Messenger, prayer and peace be upon him, warned us against breaking into sects, which concurrently, he foretold that it will happen.

In my area there are 2 mosques. From what I hear, one is for Shiites & the other for Sunnis (although I don't think they check ID cards on entry). Do you believe that Abu Bakr is the prophet's (PBUH) successor or Ali? Does it matter to Muslims? If so, why? I know it's a controversial issue in Lebanon but that could be due to politics rather than religion

Quote:Your brother's "date" had better be careful, a zealous relative may be ready to restore the family honour at any time
God forbid! Perhaps that's why she's keeping their relationship hidden from her dad :conf06: Her mum knows though & she loves my brother!!! Muslimah, would a Muslim woman be permitted to marry a non-Muslim male by Islamic law? Obviously, a Muslim male is allowed to marry a Christian female because Wael did. Is it the same on the flip-side? I don't know if my brother & his "date" plan to tie the knot one day (I'd be blessed with a wonderful sister-in-law). Our religion doesn't require her to convert to Christianity... is he required to convert ("revert') to Islam??? Maybe you'd prefer to stick this in a new thread & we'll discuss inter-faith relationships
