one good news. Today I was at this conference where we are talkin about religions, racism, diversity around us. So today I made a new muslim friend from pakistan, infact theb etter news is we speak the same language. I will be going to the moque with him and his family now. So today people started talkin about religious oppression and one christian girl brought up a subject where a muslim is allowed to wear a hat at school for religious reasons but christians have a problem wearing a cross at the school. I didn't know what to say, but tomorrow we are presenting to others about the religions and I think there might be people who will get into debate about the jihad and the killings going on. What should be a reasonable explanation about it. well I know christianity is the worst religion where they used violence for years and years and still use it today. From the crusades to the nuclear bombings in japan. What else can i justify to defend the jihad and islam?

This is a common mistake that nonmuslims make. The headscarf is NOT a religious symbol. It is for modesty as sanctioned by Islam. Ask the christian girl if she would come to school in a bikini. I doubt it (if they do then... they are weird...) Anywho, She would only wear one at the beach. There is a time and place to wear certain clothes. For a muslim woman, the time and place to wear the scarf is when she is around nonmuslims and people who are nonmahram (non family member, fellow muslim sisters, etc). When the muslim woman is at home, she USUALLY is not wearing the hijab. Do Christians take off their crosses upon entering their houses? Do they consider them clothes? Would this person insist that an Amish woman wear what they would want them to wear?
Insha'Allah I made some sense... if not, I'll try to clarify.
