Hi Teh Curious - and welcome to the forum!

Hope some of the questions you have will be answered.

To say 'such and such measures will bring peace to the Middle Est,' is very difficult to predict. We can hope of course. But to my opinion it is more in the same line as Puppets thoughts, it will not be peaceful until we are close to the end of this time.

salam Teh Curious.

First off, let me welcome u to the board. I must also admit that your approach to seek another angle is really rational.

Regarding your question, to just clarify matters, the reply given by PUPPET and Umm, is according to our Islamic teaching. In other words, being among a group of Muslims will allow you to know the Muslim take, rather than OUR take. According to Quran and sunnah (traditions of the Messenger salla Allah a`lyhee wa sallam), this whole situation is a must, it is all in the text. The muslim Ummah situation deteriorated, we know this, Israel is climbing high, but they know that winning the war will be to us. Only then, peace will be spread. But again, as PUPPET indicated, Eassa (Jesus) prayer and peace be upon him must return to earth, and there will be a major war between Muslims and Jews Insh aAllah.

O bTW dont panic, no one will try to convert u, unless you ask questions, no one will force u to know. :) so relax... :) and enjoy your stay.

As Salam alaikum

Sorry to say but that is incorrect...

Back before politicians and pundents ( or really anyone who wanted to give a speech) could appear on T.V. and radio, they would have to travel from town to town to spread their opinion. A speech could be spawned from any question that people would ask so a means to make sure that the speaker could be heard was needed.

Back then, soap was shipped in wooden crates. Because a bunch of soap is heavy, the crates would be very sturdy. The crate would be turned open end down so the speaker could have a platform from which to speak. The speaker could then be seen and heard by a bigger crowd. This has resulted in a colloquialism of "getting up on my soapbox," meaning that a person is giving a long opinion or a tirade about some issue. People will also give a long opinion or a very empahtic opinion and will sometimes say when they are finished, "I'll get off my soapbox now" or something along those lines. Also if one hears a person being long-winded and opinionated, one can say "Get off your soapbox."

The thread starter can correct me but I believe the title is a license for us to give our opinions, no matter how "strong" they are. He just wants to hear our view.

Dan Nailed it right first go :P

so often all we hear is the goverments line about islam, when i try to talk to followers of islam there very standoffish which under circumstances isnt unexpected they are villified on a regular basis on the news.

im just trying to achieve an understanding on why everything has just exploded into chaos.

Dan jazakum Allah khairan for helping :)

salam Teh, sorry for being late. The war is not between Islam and jews but rather between Muslims and Jews. Well, come to think about it, cannt u see the Jews are already in war with Muslims? dont we have the right to fight back, or do we have just to accept and say thank u for killing us, raping us, destroying our countries?

Allah Say in Quran:

And We decreed for the Children of Israel in the Scripture, that indeed you would do mischief on the earth twice and you will become tyrants and extremely arrogant!

5.

So, when the promise came for the first of the two, We sent against you slaves of Ours given to terrible warfare. They entered the very innermost parts of your homes. And it was a promise (completely) fulfilled.

6.

Then We gave you once again, a return of victory over them. And We helped you with wealth and children and made you more numerous in man power.

7.

(And We said): "If you do good, you do good for your ownselves, and if you do evil (you do it) against yourselves." Then, when the second promise came to pass, (We permitted your enemies) to make your faces sorrowful and to enter the mosque (of Jerusalem) as they had entered it before, and to destroy with utter destruction all that fell in their hands.

as someone on the outside looking in, it appears ur trying to justify murder and violence by quoting scriptures, one thing i always found funny is how close "Gods" prejudices mirrors the prophets.

you praise the mercy and wisdom of god in 1 breath and then commit acts of violence against jews to further your own agendas, if your all so devoute shouldnt the punishing of infidels be left in gods hands?

isnt taking the law into your own hands saying to god that you dont trust his judgement?

the Jews will get whats comming to them but who are any of you to be judge, jury and executioner?

only god has that right.
