Quote:I have recited the entire Quaran in my house and also me and my wife would take turns reciting it. I will play this link in the house.

May the blessing of Allah be upon you.

I have played the entire surah through the speakers. It was very nice to listen to it.

May the blessing of Allah be upon you.

"I am glad you brought Joseph Smith up because he is a false prophet. Why? because his religion came after Mohammad(PBUH) and yet he did not acknowledge Mohammad(PBUH) Any one who comes after Mohammed and does not recognize Mohammad does not have the seal. Progressive revelation has to confirm what came before it, if it does not then it is false. Jesus said I am the way I am the truth and I am the life. No one comes to the Father except through me and he was right. Then when Mohammad comes he is also right. You have to confirm what has come before that is your obligation to acknowledge your roots."

YUSUFALI: Is he, then, to whom the evil of his conduct is made alluring, so that he looks upon it as good, (equal to one who is rightly guided)? For Allah leaves to stray whom He wills, and guides whom He wills. So let not thy soul go out in (vainly) sighing after them: for Allah knows well all that they do!

PICKTHAL: Is he, the evil of whose deeds is made fairseeming unto him so that he deemeth it good, (other than Satan's dupe)? Allah verily sendeth whom He will astray, and guideth whom He will; so let not thy soul expire in sighings for them. Lo! Allah is Aware of what they do!

SHAKIR: What! is he whose evil deed is made fairseeming to him so much so that he considers it good? Now surely Allah makes err whom He pleases and guides aright whom He pleases, so let not your soul waste away in grief for them; surely Allah is Cognizant of what they do

YUSUFALI: Say: "Shall we tell you of those who lose most in respect of their deeds?-

PICKTHAL: Say: Shall We inform you who will be the greatest losers by their works?

SHAKIR: Say: Shall We inform you of the greatest losers in (their) deeds?

018.104

YUSUFALI: "Those whose efforts have been wasted in this life, while they thought that they were acquiring good by their works?"

PICKTHAL: Those whose effort goeth astray in the life of the world, and yet they reckon that they do good work.

SHAKIR: (These are) they whose labor is lost in this world's life and they think that they are well versed in skill of the work of hands.

YUSUFALI: Say: "See ye what things Allah hath sent down to you for sustenance? Yet ye hold forbidden some things thereof and (some things) lawful." Say: "Hath Allah indeed permitted you, or do ye invent (things) to attribute to Allah?"

PICKTHAL: Say: Have ye considered what provision Allah hath sent down for you, how ye have made of it lawful and unlawful? Hath Allah permitted you, or do ye invent a lie concerning Allah?

SHAKIR: Say: Tell me what Allah has sent down for you of sustenance, then you make (a part) of it unlawful and (a part) lawful. Say: Has Allah commanded you, or do you forge a lie against Allah?

010.060

YUSUFALI: And what think those who invent lies against Allah, of the Day of Judgment? Verily Allah is full of bounty to mankind, but most of them are ungrateful.

PICKTHAL: And what think those who invent a lie concerning Allah (will be their plight) upon the Day of Resurrection? Lo! Allah truly is Bountiful toward mankind, but most of them give not thanks.

SHAKIR: And what will be the thought of those who forge lies against Allah on the day of resurrection? Most surely Allah is the Lord of grace towards men, but most of them do not give thanks.

016.116

YUSUFALI: But say not - for any false thing that your tongues may put forth,- "This is lawful, and this is forbidden," so as to ascribe false things to Allah. For those who ascribe false things to Allah, will never prosper.

PICKTHAL: And speak not, concerning that which your own tongues qualify (as clean or unclean), the falsehood: "This is lawful, and this is forbidden," so that ye invent a lie against Allah. Lo! those who invent a lie against Allah will not succeed.

SHAKIR: And, for what your tongues describe, do not utter the lie, (saying) This is lawful and this is unlawful, in order to forge a lie against Allah; surely those who forge the lie against Allah shall not prosper.

016.117

YUSUFALI: (In such falsehood) is but a paltry profit; but they will have a most grievous Penalty.

PICKTHAL: A brief enjoyment (will be theirs); and theirs a painful doom.

SHAKIR: A little enjoyment and they shall have a painful punishment.

These ayaat were provide to show how you are changing the religion. You are making lawful alcohol. You are changing the number of prayers. You are saying women do not have to cover.

These are all changes that you have made.

I know that you will say that God changed them through you. I am mostly pointing the errors out to the rational muslims who are reading this. They see how you say you are not a messenger but have a message. You deny being a prophet or messenger after Muhammad but you have inspiration and revelation from God. These are clear contradictions no matter what you want to call yourself.

Now you are making the unlawful into lawful. It is obvious that following anything that you say will only lead to destruction as others who have followed people like you (shi'a, 19ers, quranis, baha', Nation of Islam, ect) were lead astray. Others have claimed to be the mahdi, the messiah, another messenger, saints, ect. You name it and it has been claimed. Do some research into the many, many deviant sects that have spun off from Islam and you will see that you are not unique and not alone in wanting to draw good practicing muslims away from the Straight Path.

It seems that you are quite satisfied in your beliefs that let you pretty much do what you want as long as you "believe." (Sounds familiar to me) I am not really responding to you to persuade you from your desires. I mean, it would be hard to disuade me if I thought that God talked to me and allowed me to feel good (love, worship, and alcohol... again... sounds familiar).

Any muslim who feels this man is spouting any truth, please post why you think so in order that actual Truth can be seen above the falsehood.

For those who allow anything to cause enmity whatever that thing is, is unlawful. Rememberence of God is the bliss and joy. Do not go to prayer drunk where you are not mindful of what you are saying. Everyone should not drink(those who forget God) The best of all things are for those who love God and abstain from evil.

YUSUFALI: O ye who believe! make not unlawful the good things which Allah hath made lawful for you, <b>but commit no excess: for Allah loveth not those given to excess</b>

YUSUFALI: (Here is) a Parable of the Garden which the righteous are promised: in it are rivers of water incorruptible; rivers of milk of which the taste never changes; <b>rivers of wine, a joy to those who drink</b>; and rivers of honey pure and clear. In it there are for them all kinds of fruits; and Grace from their Lord. (Can those in such Bliss) be compared to such as shall dwell for ever in the Fire, and be given, to drink, boiling water, so that it cuts up their bowels (to pieces)?

YUSUFALI: All food was lawful to the Children of Israel, except what Israel Made unlawful for itself, before the Law (of Moses) was revealed. Say: "Bring ye the Law and study it, if ye be men of truth."

005.003

YUSUFALI: Forbidden to you (for food) are: dead meat, blood, the flesh of swine, and that on which hath been invoked the name of other than Allah; that which hath been killed by strangling, or by a violent blow, or by a headlong fall, or by being gored to death; that which hath been (partly) eaten by a wild animal; unless ye are able to slaughter it (in due form); that which is sacrificed on stone (altars); (forbidden) also is the division (of meat) by raffling with arrows: that is impiety. This day have those who reject faith given up all hope of your religion: yet fear them not but fear Me. This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion. But if any is forced by hunger, with no inclination to transgression, Allah is indeed Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.

YUSUFALI: They ask thee concerning wine and gambling. Say: "In them is great sin, and some profit, for men; but the sin is greater than the profit." They ask thee how much they are to spend; Say: "What is beyond your needs." Thus doth Allah Make clear to you His Signs: In order that ye may consider-

YUSUFALI: Their thirst will be slaked with Pure Wine sealed:

May Allah bless you Dan.

Also to my brothers and sisters in peace. There are some who drink alcohol and become violent or irresponsible and there are some who drink alcohol and enjoy it and yet remain compassionate and merciful. There are some who never taste alcohol and they are abusive to their families and unloving to their wives and there are some who drink heavily and show nothing but love towards everyone and remember God all day.

Let no man be deceived you are only doing right when you are behaving right. If you abstain from all meat and all drink and deny your Lord what will abstaining benefit you and likewise if you do not abstain nor commit excess and do not deny the favors of your Lord surely there is a benefit.

, and the Righteous (who do good): <i>Ah! what a beautiful fellowship! </i>

Quote: Those who believe (in the Qur'an), those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Sabians, Christians, Magians, and Polytheists,- Allah will judge between them on the Day of Judgment: for Allah is witness of all things.

Those who believe (in the Qur'an), those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Sabians and the Christians,- any who believe in Allah and the Last Day, and work righteousness,- on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.

Can you not see there is only THE GOD there is no other.

You are right.

As we decided to reply to this thread in order to properly explain and clarify the confusion which may rise here. I was late in correcting this major false statement, as the thread starter is totally confused about the meaning of this noble Ayah:

Here u will Insh a Allah find the proper explanation for this particular Ayah and more Ayahs addressing the same issue:

http://islamsms.com/bb/index.php?showt...hl=Sabians&st=0

Regarding the alcohol drinking, the second and last stage of making alcohol strictly prohibited:

"O you who believe! Intoxicants (all kinds of alcoholic drinks), gambling, Al Ansaab, and Al Azlaam (arrows for seeking luck or decision) are an abomination of Shaytaan's (Satan) handiwork. So avoid (strictly all) that (abomination) in order that you may be successful." (Quran 5:90)

Because we are looking forward for readers not to be confused.

In Arabic the word ejtanebouh which is translated as avoid is more effective in the sense that prohibited. ejtanabouh means to totally stay away from, that is why the Messenger salla Allah a`lyhee wa sallam explained in a hadeeth that we should not sit with one who drinks, serve alcohol, buy it or sell leave alone drinking it. Alhamdulelah.

Allah Is Great! I have not been posting here recently as I have been very busy in dialogue with Atheist and Christians. However God led me here today to respond to this post. Surely it is known that Muhammad(PBUH) was sent to the pagan arabs at a time when drinking heavily and debauchery was rampant. I don't say what is lawful or what is unlawful. Some things are prifitable a little and some a lot but either way Allah gives to whom He pleases. If any man says Allah has allowed him to do a thing you would be better off not telling that man what Allah did not permit for if you are wrong you are being wrong not to that man but to Allah. This is why I tell Christians that it would be better if they not say disrespectful things about Allah(thinking He is a different God than the one they know) I explain to them The God of Jesus is Allah it would be better for you to refrain from speaking what you do noy know. If there will be rivers of wine in paradise and I am in Paradise even now should I wait to drink what God allows me to drink? Yet, everyone has not attained the knowledge of paradise. For God is The Giver here and in the next life.
