When is Eid
#1

:lailahaillallah:

Dear Brothers and sister , Salam to you all and happy Ramadan

I asked this very same question one year ago, and I now ask the same question again, “why is it that many thousand of Muslim brother and sister don’t cerebrate this beautiful month of Ramadan in UK together at the start of the month”?. I could bet you a billion that this year the same has and would happen again, when is it official from the Muslim Council of Britain about cerebrating Eid-ul-Fa

Just give me the right date.

I pray to Allah to guide you and me in straight path.

Eid is when the moon is sighted. One cannot ask the question 2 weeks before as the reality for eid does not exist.

With all due respect, it is questions like these which goes to show that the muslims do not know what the ruling is or the cause (sabab) and condition (shart) for ramadaan or eid. This in turn allows those people who do not wish the unity of the muslims to easily deceive the masses from fasting or performing eid on the same day.

If we all followed Allah and his Messenger (saw) rather than individuals then we would be better off.

One would rather agree with one's option.

Brother Deen, as for my humble info, I think it is just scientifically logical that the moon cannt be sighted at the same time all over the world. This is even proved in Quran when Allah Say Rubul Mashareq and Rubul Maghareb= Lord of sunrises and Lord of sunsets. for example, when the sun rises here in Egypt, it is setting somewhere else in the US and so forth. Part of Allah's Wisdom is that Hejri Year is associated with sighting the moon which cannt occur at the same time. I dont think it has to do with those who dont wish unity for Muslisms. In this, we cannt unite, unless of course things like division in the same country occurs. This is what can be serious.

Sobhan Allah, sadly Ramadan is rushing out. Eid is either Mon. or Tues here in Egypt. I think Saudi Arabia is going to sight the crescent this evening.
