The Veil

<b>The Veil</b>

The pea is a splendid plant. It proudly displays its strong green

Hijab. It protects it from the hot and cold weather and guards it from insects. Allah has blessed the pea with a special Hijab, because without it, the seeds would scatter, dry up and die.

The orange keeps itself within its shiny orange Hijab to protect its delicious fruit. Otherwise it-looses its taste too.

So are the banana, the coconut and the pomegranate. Each one has an elegant and unique Hijab, which protects it from disease and destruction.

The jewel of the sea, the pearl, has been given a very tough and rugged Hijab - oyster shell. It protects it from sea animals and keeps it sparkling and shining inside.

However, the most beloved of Allah in all His creation is the Muslim girl who wears the Hijab. She knows it is a gift from Allah. It protects her from harm, injury and mischief. She wears it knowing it gives her dignity, beauty and respect. So precious she can be that she hides herself beneath her Hijab.

"Allah does not look at your body and face; rather he looks at your heart"[at-tirmidhi]

"Say to the believing men that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty......And say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty; that they should not display their beauty and ornaments except what ordinarily appear thereof; that they should draw their veils over their bosoms...." (Qur'an 24:30-31)

The world is prison for the believer and paradise for the disbeliever"[Muslim]

"O Prophet, tell your wives and daughters and the believing women that they should cast their outer garments over their bodies(when abroad) so that they should be known and not molested" (Qur'an 33:59).

I agree.

Unfortunately, not every muslimah who has known the ayah about hijab is wearing hijab.

Some of them said it's more important to put the hijab on your heart first, than just your body.

I say:

It's not surprising that you don't want to put hijab on your body, <b>since your heart is being "hijab"</b>, <i><b>your heart is closed</b></i>
.

You put hijab on your heart as you put handkerchief on your eyes, you can't see anything. you blind yourself. Your heart is closed so you can't understand the obligatory of hijab for muslimah.

Well, carrying out the order from Allah and prophet Muhammad PUBH is not only a matter of knowing and understanding. But it's also a matter of Hidayah from Allah Subhanahuwata'ala.

It's the Hidayah from Allah that one can be good muslim, has strong deeds to obey Allah.

Subhanallah wa alhamdulillah wa :lailahaillallah: wa Allahu Akbar.

'Alas for you, lawyers and Pharisees, hypocrites! You clean the outside of cup and dish, which you have filled inside by robbery and self-indulgence! Blind Pharisee! Clean the inside of the cup first; then the outside will be clean also.

Alas for you, lawyers and Pharisees, hypocrites! You are like tombs covered with whitewash; they look well from outside, but inside they are full of dead men's bones and all kinds of filth. So it is with you; outside you look like honest men, but inside you are brimfull of hypocrisy and crime.'

Bismillah:

Indeed, the most honoured thing a woman possesses is her modesty. Moreover, <b>the most precious symbolism of modesty is the Hijab (the Veil) </b>, the most important, precious thing that deserves to be protected is the woman's modesty. <b>And the most important thing in the woman's life is her hijab. </b> Nobody should see or enjoy the women physical body except her husband. I wonder if any intellectual person accept these words?

Quote:'Alas for you, lawyers and Pharisees, hypocrites! You clean the outside of cup and dish, which you have filled inside by robbery and self-indulgence! Blind Pharisee! Clean the inside of the cup first; then the outside will be clean also.

its like you are saying prayers is also not important since our heart is clean... talking about <b>"hypocrites"</b>? i know people who pray, but do bad things, <b>does that mean we shouldn't pray?</b> Some people go to Hajj (pilgrimage) so that they can hide under the title of a "Hajji" (person who has performed Hajj) and do bad things. <b>Does that mean we should not go to Hajj?</b> So, Hijab also must <b>includes the moral conduct, behaviour, attitude and intention of the individual. A person only fulfilling the criteria of ‘hijaab’ of the clothes is observing ‘hijaab’ in a limited sense. ‘Hijaab’ of the clothes should be accompanied by ‘hijaab’ of the eyes, ‘hijaab’ of the heart, ‘hijaab’ of thought and ‘hijaab’ of intention. It also includes the way a person walks, the way a person talks, the way he behaves, etc.</b>

I said no such thing. In fact, I said nothing at all. All the words in my post are the words of Jesus, as recorded in the 23rd chapter of the Gospel of Matthew.

You claim that, in this passage, Jesus is saying that it is not important for Christians to pray. Correct? Please explain to us your reasons for coming to this conclusion.

When you first tell me what was your intention of posting this verse, then i will explain to you that which <b>YOU DID NOT UNDERSTAND.</b>

I wonder likewise, why did you chose to put the biblical verse into this thread about the islamic veil for women. I find it a bit provocative.

Can you state your intention with it please? Thanks.

The Jews and the Christians will never be pleased with you, until you follow their religion” [Qur'an 2:120]

“As for unbelievers: they will not cease fighting until they succeed in turning you back from your Deen if they can.” [Qur'an 2:217]

I am not saying this Allah SWT is (the creator of the heavens and the earth and everything within and beyond that). The one that knows what is in the hearts of men.
