As Salaamu Alaikum,
It was my understanding that this website is an Islamic forum, and I sincerely enjoy getting and reading the messages. But I seem to be getting a lot of message notifications from "dattaswami" which apprear to be Hindu. This is confusing, and seems to be "preaching" for the Hindu religion. There doesn't seem to be a thread, or exchange of information, but rather just a question s/he poses and then an answer that s/he posts.
I have really enjoyed the exchanges with Christians, and Jazakallah to those who respond with so much restraint, knowledge, and intelligence. But, if I wanted information on the Hindu faith, I would go to a Hindu website! Perhaps "dattaswami" is confused as to where s/he should be posting this type of information.
If I am wrong here, may Allah forgive my ignorance.

Bismillah

Witness, I think sister Naima is making a point, and I guess you need to read the rules of the forum which by default u must have agreed to before joining.
The aim on this board is to learn about Islam and help others learn.
There is much difference with a non Muslim coming here asking questions after presenting his/her faith in order to know and learn and between one who comes here to present or call for his/her own faith.
Interaction is required but not presentation.
As for the number of posters, I think we as mods group are not after quantity just to keep a place going. This is not a supermarket that needs customers to achieve sustainability. but rather a place of knowledge.
However, sister Naima, since we have a room called Discussion of Beliefs, I believe it is healthy to have members from other faiths coming to present their faith, then Muslim members can discuss with them with the aim of providing a learning opportunity.
