I thought that the point of the 20 posts was to prove that the person was an active member in the board. If a muslim has come here to learn, how can they post "meaningful" posts if they are looking for knowledge. I thought that by agreeing or disagreeing our new member could show that she was actively reflecting upon the posts.
I just do not think that it is right to keep someone out of a room that they could benefit from. If someone really wanted to "infiltrate," that person could just regurgitate stuff from other boards or websites to get their quota.
Instead of doing this our sister admitted that she did not think she could contribute that much and asked for our help. I was not trying to break down the rules of the board but only uphold what I think to be the goals... education.
