Bismillah as salam alykom Princess, Now I m a bit confused, u said u<b> want to be donor in case u have serious car accident</b> Do u mean an organ donor in case the person dies during the accident? or u mean blood donor, but in such case the person involved in the accident will be needing the blood not ready to donate. Can u pls clarify a bit. :( :mellow: :unsure:

Well I will look more since this issue is somehow controversial, as there are organs that u cannt donate which are life determinants such as heart and others that u may. Also there is the donation during life and making a will to do so after death. Curious, as we explained many times, Islam is a way of life that regulates every aspect in this system. It regulates even where to eat and who to visit and when. We as Muslims strive to follow this Divine system, thus, we always need to ensure we are doing what is halal and avoiding what is haram. There are things that are new to the world such as organ transplantation for ex, we need to ensure that Islamic ruling on it before following or not following. While in some cases, Muslims do need knowledge. Not every Muslim is a scholar. What is even more important is that gaining knowledge is highly recommended in Islam. We should never stop trying to gain and learn more and more. Who decides, Quran and Sunnah, in cases of new issues such as this one, well versed scholars carry out the responsibility of searching and formulating an opinion. IN case we receive different opinions, even in this case (sunnah= sayings and traditions of the Messenger prayer and peace be upon him) teaches us to follow what is easier to us. I dont own my body to put a will on it. The body is different from money, I m aware that also money or wealth is not owned by us yet we are commanded actually to put a will which is also subject to the rules of inheritance. But look at it from this side, is the body subject to inheritance laws? Only my own personal humble opinion, however, I produced to u two fatwas dealing with this new issue.

Bismillah: Three conditions arise when talking about oragans donation. One, it should not be damaging for the donor. If a donor dies just by donating his organ, in that case it’s Haram. Second condition is different. A person can live on one kidney. If I donate one kidney and the other person survives, both of us are saved. Then the third point is that you cannot donate your organs for the cause of money. If these conditions are fulfilled, then organ transplant can be done. I also heard that the organ can be taken from the body of a living person <b>with his/her consent and approval </b> and also from the body of a dead person. and Allah knows best.
