The concept of God in Christianity
#11

Bismillah:

Quote:The New King James has the following:

36 “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven,[a] but My Father only.

King James

36But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

What does your copy say?

You have to find something different when using more than one version of the Bible. No way. And no one knows which version is accurate.

As I mentioned earlier, the New International Version of the Bible says:

"No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

Also below are some quotations fro various Bibles:

- The New American Standard Bible

"But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone.

- English Standard Version

"But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son,but the Father only".

- The Holman Christian Standard Bible

"Now concerning that day and hour no one knows--neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son --except the Father only.

- The New Living Translation

"However, no one knows the day or the hour when these things will happen, not even the angels in heaven or the Son himself. Only the Father knows.

I can still keep on quoting versions and versions of the Bible regarding this verse and all of them agreed that the Son (which you believe to be God) does not really know about the Day of resurrection. How then you call him God?

It is a fact that there are lesser translations and better translations. The New King James, for example, is commonly held to be more close to original Greek and Hebrew.

Fact is that the Bible is/has been translated into hundreds of dialects. There are translations so that all peoples can read it.

I am sure that you would tell me that reading the Quran in original Arabic is more acurate than my English version.

Am sorry I have to disagree with you, the KJV or the NKJV are not the most accurate Bibles according to Christians themselves. below are my proofs:

The KJV was revised by 32 scholars of the highest eminence backed by 50 cooperating denomination of Christianity, look what they say about the King James Version, after they come up with NEW version called the RSV or the REVISED STANDARD VERSION, they have very pretty things to say about it, in their page iii paragraph 6 of the PREFACE of the RSV we read:

Quote:“The King James Version has with good reason been termed “the noblest monument of English prose” its revisers in 1881 expressed admiration for “its simplicity, its dignity, its power, its happy turns of expression.. the music of its cadences, and the felicities of its rhythm, it entered, as no other book has, into the making of the personal character and publish institutions of the English-speaking people, we owe to it an incalculable debt”

Can you imagine a more beautiful words that the above? They are paying a magnificent tribute to the KJV. But at the same breath those scholars says:

Quote:YET THE KING JAMES VERSION HAS GRAVE DEFECTS, AND THESE DEFECTS ARE SO MANY AND SO SERIOUS AS TO CALL FOR REVISION”

This is straight from the Christians scholars of “The highest eminence” who plainly says that the KJV is not reliable.

now if you read “THE TIMES MAGAZINE” you will see that they have said about the RSV that it is

Quote: ” the most accurate and close rendering of the original”

Now look at “what the most accurate Bible (RSV) said about the son”

Matthew 24:36 you will read:

"But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.

The son does not know of that day, but the Father ONLY KNOWS, means Jesus is NOT GOD IN ANYWAY.
