Ferris Mee, we can have our differences.
I think my country makes plenty of mistakes. Any by "country" I mean it's leaders. I didn't vote for George Bush, you assumed I did. You need to make an effort to separate the American people from the American government. Why hate me? You need to focus your anger on the proper channels. I support the war in Afghanistan because it's clear that they aided the terrorists who killed almost 3,000 Americans on Sept. 11th. You can support the Taliban (what is left of them) for whatever reasons you choose to support them. The majority of those fighting the occupying forces in Iraq aren't even Iraqi. I recall watching people celebrate in the streets of Baghdad when Hussein’s statue fell. In the next five years American forces will leave Iraq. An elected Iraqi government will be in control and hopefully, for the sake of the Iraqi people things will improve for them. What’s done is done. I didn't think the war was justified but I think that progress is being made in that country none-the-less.


And...Americans don't want to slaughter as many Muslims as possible. I hope you don't honestly believe that. I hate to say it, but our forces took Iraq's capital in about 1 week and the capitol of Afghanistan in similar fashion. If American's were out to slaughter Muslims then it wouldn't be too hard...

I'll give you abbreviated answer because you already know the answer.


9/11 changed the way we opperate. We aren't going to allow another 9/11. THUS...the BUSH doctrine (which, as I've mentioned before I don't agree with the Iraq invasion).


Governments which aid terrorists are no different than terrorists. The entire UN...NOT JUST THE US...firmly believed that Sadaam had WMDs which he would use against his neighboors given the chance. (HE DID have WMDs which is demonstrated by his prior use of them against the Kurds...where were you when Sadaam killed 5,000 of his own country-men??? Did you complain about that???) The Baath government would not allow UN inspections and didn't cooperate. We made it clear that if inspections weren't allowed than we'd remove him from power.


Sadaam chose to ignore the UN and it forced our hand. Bush's government then decided to invade Iraq and remove that dictator. Now Sadaam is on trial...THANKS BE TO GOD!!!


Since then I think it's clear that the majority of Iraqi citizen casualties have been killed by the cowardly suicide bombers and terrorists. They've targetted Mosques, schools, police men, and oil production plants. MOSQUES...Why are these "brave warriors" as you've called them bombing Mosques????


79% of eligible Iraqis braved threats of violence and death and voted. WHY????????


You know why the US invaded Iraq. Sadaam's government had every chance to aviod war. Now the enemy of Iraq is the same enemy of the US...the Terrorists who like to blow up crowds of innocent people.
