#1

Bismillah

as salamalykom,

Did you all sisters think at any time what to learn from Hajar's experience?

I will try to start:

1. Strong belief in Allah and that only Allah Knows what is best and thus shall never abandon the person regardless of the dire situation that is apprent to be an impossible to be solved.

Any more tips????/

Al-salam 'alaykom, our mother Hajer peace be upon her, is Prophet Ismae'l,s mother, she is

the great great great grandmother of our Prophet Muhammad(PBUH), she was an egyptian, so the egyptians are lucky :) they have kinship with our dear Prophet (PBUH), this what comes into my mind sometimes when I think of our mother Hajer. Also I heared Amr Khaled saying, and some other scholars also, that Zamzam water did not come to surface because of her runing between safa and marwa, it is because Allah(SWT) willed so, but in such action done it is a lesson for everyone to learn that u will not gain anything from just sitting asking Allah and doing nothing, on the contrary u should strive hard work, then leave the rest on Allah(SWT), and that is so true, if u want to have any degree of any kind, will u sit and say oh Allah please give me, of course he will not give u, u must work hard day and night and according to your performance u will get your results.

Al-hamdulilah for Islam, and alhamdulilah for Eman.

Her love to Allah that superceeds every other love. She does not let her love for her children be means to take them as associates to Allah. When Ibraheem salla Allah a`lyhee wa sallam informed her that he has to slaughter Ismail as in the Ruia, she knew that it is Allah's Command. So when satan met her in the form of a man trying to let her confront her husband and talk him out of it saying this old man is loosing sense and becoming totally irrational, u should stop him from doing this. She immediately realized who was talking to her and start stoning him. Alhamdulelah. This is what we must learn, not to let our desires or love for human beings capture our hearts or fill them over Allah's love.

After re reading your reply, of course Allah's Will was the reason for springing out Zamzam, but cocurrently it was a response to the dua of Hajar who was in the state of the compelled and destressed. I understand that sometimes scholars are concerned for people's misunderstanding of the happening of miracles that it might be ascribed to human beings. But we also have to be clear how dua is effective and how Allah Promised to grant the compelled and destressed the dua when made.

So just felt I should clarify this point.
