Is the Western non Muslim woman free???

John was discussing with me on another thread whether or not the Muslim woman is free compared to the women of the West.


To me she is not for many reasons.


Ok let us see how this discussion will go

Approximately 2% of Canadian and 1% of American women are Muslim. Tell me, Muslimah. Are these women free because they are Muslims, or slaves because they live in a Western country?

it depends on what type of lifestyle these muslim women choose .....if they adopt the western lifestyle then they are "SLAVES TO THE SYSTEM ......." if not then my opinion is these muslim women who have adopted the islamic lifestyle whist living in the west , r as "FREE AS A BIRD......."

A muslimah who lives in an Islamic country (for example, Saudi Arabia) is forced to follow the Islamic dress code, as well as other aspects of Islamic law.


A muslimah who lives in Canada can follow the Islamic dress code, and other aspects of Islamic law, if she wants. But she also has the option of ignoring parts or all of the Islamic dress code.


Since a muslimah who lives in Canada has choices that a muslimah is Saudi Arabia doesn't have, we are forced to conclude that a muslimah who lives in Canada has more freedom than a muslimah who lives in Saudi Arabia.

Reepi made it so easy for me, by him saying a Muslimah who is living in the West has a choice to abide by or not. This is the core of interest, this is the essence of Islam. This is the essence of freedom to me and I think as long as Suhail made this reply he fully agrees with. Will not put words on other members mouths, but I am sure Muslim women will agree.


BTW reepi, even living in Saudi Arabia a woman may choose to abide by the Islamic dress code or not. NOt in public yes, but if she is on a social visit she may just remove it.


See reepi if you dont feel that Allah Is Watching u every where, then u can do anything and be happy deceiving yourself with this illusion of freedom, when actually you r just making your own rules and regulations to abide by them and say hey I am free.


John, my reasons - and I dont think I was off topic on my above comments - a western woman is self deluded into this illusion of freedom. Some of them goes to the extreme of being feminists that they dont even want to have sex with me.


Now that of course to them is the ultimate freedom, her body is her own problem and she uses it as she wishes. They deregulated what Allah Regulated, then all of a sudden, she feels a need to a family O now they need to regulate what they deregulated. So they fight to be accepted in church for marriage, ok they got that. O now she needs chidlren.


Back again to what Allah Created, back to sperm banks and medically assisted reproduction just to evade what they deregulated.


Is this freedom? no this is ultimate enslavement but to oneself.


A woman is in most cases a sex object, come on john let us be frank about it. Didnt u hear find them feed them love them leave them?


You even mentioned going to clubs, finding someone, going back home with them, is this how a woman is respected? mostly a one night stand?


They ususally statart on having sex very early making them having multiple sex partners that in some cases i hear figures like 50 and 60. Do u know that this proved to be major cause of pelvic canser?


Is this the freedom any one is looking for?

Using women on commercials, in election campaigns, running business...etc.

John obviously u didnt get any of my points, just trying to communicate a wrong impression that Muslims are focused on women sexuality.


And u say i am inflamming lesbians here, not that I agree with the act.

It's enough to have a look in the streets here, on Europe , to see the freedom you're trying to defend, yes, women in the west are sex objects , and they admit it, how? by promoting everything that confirms this idea, from the way GIRLS dress up since they are born, to beauty competetions....I really cannot imagine myself, as a woman, walking in front of the others to judge me, whether i deserve it or not, I know John will say that they include the way the women in this competitions talk and so on, but if these were the reasons behind the competition, what's the need for things like the swimming costume bit??


I thank Allah every moment of my life that I'm a muslim lady, who chose to wear the hijab, not forced to wear it, being educated, having a degree, can speak 4 languages,....I'm not showing off here or anything, but just to give John an example o what it's like to be a muslim woman, coming from the middle east, where he thinks women are oppressed.

Let's consider two Muslim women, one who lives in Saudi Arabia, and another who lives in Canada.


Please provide me with a list of "freedoms" that the woman in Saudi Arabia has, but that the Canadian woman doesn't have.
