Assalmaulakum wa rahamautuali wa barakatahu

Hello Malik, how are you brother?

Quote:now i wanna know about the Quran. any introduction about it?[/quote:ef210a9618]Glad to see your inquisitive nature brother [Image: biggrin.gif] . Are you searching for an introduction to the Quran? Well, in that case i can give you the very first words the Quran says.

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

Praise be to Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds;

Most Gracious, Most Merciful;

Master of the Day of Judgment

Thee do we worship, and Thine aid we seek

Show us the straight way,

The way of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy Grace, those whose (portion) is not wrath, and who go not astray.

(Quran Surah Fatima, 1-7) or (Quran 1:1-7) <---same thing

This brother is the first "chapter" or [i:ef210a9618]surah[/i:ef210a9618] in the Quran.

The Quran has challenged mankind until the Day of Jugdement, to produce a verse similar to it. Many arab poets have read the Quran and have said that even they could not match its poetic style. The Quran also challenges us to be good to everyone regardless of what race, nationality, creed, etc. It askes us to stay on the straight path, and worship only one Allah. Respect the books, angels, prophets, jinns, day of judgement, and there is so much more that i could tell you...

Muslims are provided with scientific support revealed through the prophet Muhammad(pbuh), things an illiterate man could not have known at that time.

Examples:

1.We created man from an extract of clay. Then We made him as a drop in a place of settlement, firmly fixed. Then We made the drop into an alaqah (leech, suspended thing, and blood clot), then We made the alaqah into a mudghah (chewed substance)... 1 (Quran, 23:12-14)

Scientists of today have seen that human embryos look suprisingly like leeches and blood clots at different points of development, and they are suspended.

2. Have We not made the earth as a bed, and the mountains as pegs? (Quran, 78:6-7)

The Science Advisor for the former American President Jimmy Carter stated that mountains actually have a peg-like shape.

3. Then He turned to the heaven when it was smoke... (Quran, 41:11)

Scientists have proven that at one point in time the universe was nothing but smoke.

4. God has said in the Quran about one of the evil unbelievers who forbade the Prophet Muhammad(pbuh) from praying at the Kaaba:

No! If he does not stop, We will take him by the naseyah (front of the head), a lying, sinful naseyah (front of the head)! (Quran, 96:15-16)

The prefontal area of the brain, known as the Cerebrum, is thought to be the center of aggression, and it is where the motivation to initiate movements come from.

5. He has set free the two seas meeting together. There is a barrier between them. They do not transgress. (Quran, 55:19-20)

Modern sceince has shown that there actually are physical barriers where two seas meet. Obviously, the prophet Muhammad(pbuh) could not have known this were it not Allah's voice speaking through him.

I hope that the information I have given you will help you.

another thing malik that you should take not of in the quraan... is the literary style...

for example.. the bible takes on a narrative style... in other words... the bible consists of people like Matthew, Mark, Luke and John who tells the story of the gospels... and <b>they</b> tell you what <i>"god says"</i>

in the quraan however... god tells you himself .... <b>NOT MUHAMMAD</b> as is popularly believed by some of those who are not muslims...

just bear this in mind
