How many of us are Muslim, yet have never read the Quran in our native language?
How many of us are Muslim, yet have yet to open a book on hadith or sunnah?
How many of us defend Islam to non-Muslims, but do not follow it ourselves?
Each of us needs to decide. Is Islam right or not? Why don't we take the time, just once, once in our lives to find out if Islam is right. Is the Quran from God or not? We can't see God, but is there a maker to all this? We need to study nature, and the world. We only live once, if Islam is wrong then we should leave it, but if it's right we shouldn't go halfway. We shouldn't go to a club thinking we are only going to 'hang out and are not doing anything wrong' then feel guilty about it later. We shouldn't go on a date or drink, then feel guilty about it, worrying about hellfire. If Islam is right, we should follow it.

Bismillah &Assalamualaikum-sorry sister Mohsi Icant agree with u . especially with the sentance"IF ISLAM IS WRONG THEN WE SHOULD LEAVE IT.."islam can never go wrong.but thinking can.
not allcan graspthe truth fromnature.when thinking go wrongthis is where one should approach Alims(well knowedged people)&clear their doubts&.make themselves prostrate before Allah.
May Allah guide us in the right path

Jazaakallah Khair for your comment. I was waiting for someone to point that out. the main stress of the sentence is on the second part: "... but if it's right we shouldn't go halfway." If we TRULY and wholeheartedly believe, then no matter what escape routes come our way, we will still CHOOSE to follow the Path of Islam, rather than being pushed down it.
As born Muslim, I always felt that I was being pushed onto the Path of Islam. I know that many other born Muslims go through a similar ordeal. It is a natural human instinct not to want something that is being force fed to you, even if it is something really sweet. I guess I am trying to say that we have a choice, and insha'Allah if there is even a single ray of belief somewhere deep in our hearts, then insha'Allah Allah will ALWAYS guide us to choose to follow His Path, and more importantly, to stick to it and to be proud of Islam, and insha'Allah to be happy with our choice.
I hope I am making sense. May Allah forgive me if I have said anything wrong. I do not mean to offend anyone.

u made much sense, actually I fully understand the message and see nothing wrong about it. In simple u want to say, we must appreciate much being Muslims, becuse people may live and die without realzing the bounty they are given just because they took it for granted. We must appreciate being Muslim, we must realize the major bounty, the major gift. Being raised a Muslim (I use raised since we are all born Muslims) is a plus that no one can actually realize until he /she looks at those who are not aware of Allah's Existence even.

Assalamu alaikum brothers and sisters
I think this is a very important subject. I do understand the point of view, even if I am not a a Muslimah that was raised us one, but did find my way back alhamdulillah, but since I live in a Muslim country I can see the things that many have to struggle with that are born and raised as Muslims generation after generation. Therefore it is very important to teach our children about Islam, give them the knowledge about Islam, teach them how to love Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala and our deen. We cannot afford to let them go by the wind and leave them take part of an society that is not always so 'up to date' when it comes to Islamic values. We have to fight FOR them and WITH them to teach them the best way we can inshaAllah. It is our responsibility to guide them. It is their AND our life AND future that we cannot throw away.

I think we should be patient with our Muslim Brothers and Sisters who go astray. There is a sin you committ against Allah and there is a sin you committ against Allahs creatures. Allah can forgive them solong they seek his forgiveness but we should never ever let them go or think of them lowly. As our brother Khalid yaseen said in his lecture called "from the root to the froot" he said: We must search for our treasure in the trash.
I have really cried when he said that because it's really truly. Especially when he said this part: To our young Muslims who are in the streets: We hate what you do in the streets, we hate who you with in the streets, but we love you. We can never hate the shahada. Insha'Allah amongst you there is an abu tha'r and Khalid ibn Walid. No matter how low you start there is always a way up!!
That was a lecture for the youth of islam.
I always used to try not to go near those who don't practise their Islam. I used to do that because of the immorality they were involved in made me think that I should guard my own self from their Evil not because I thought of them lowly or because I feared that they would rub their sins on me. But I think differently now. After I have listened to that lecture It made me want to be near those who go astray. And thats what I will do from now on.
Believe it or not nobody likes to be in darkness. Nobody likes to turn against Allah. But do you know what I know? I know that many people who went astray do want to come back to this beautiful deen, but many muslims like you and I are stopping them. Because we have become intolerant and we judge. We look down upon our Brothers and Sisters in Islam. If we see a Sister in the Mosque who is praying with clothes that are see through, instead of trying to help her. we BadMouth, we slander her. We also think that we should only worry about ourselves and thats it.
How can we except Allah to accept our Salat, the quraan we recite everyday, and all good deeds we do, IF We can't even want the beauty of Imaan for our fellow muslims. Even if they are engaged in the lowest of the low. Like Our brother Khalid Yasiin said WE HAVE TO LOOK FOR OUR TREAUSRE IN THE TRASH
Polish your Brother and Sister in Islam up, help them become the person you think you are.

Salam Alaikum... Excuse me, my knowledge is limited about Islam..
Brother there is somethink not logical in your words.
If A muslim keep his/her as muslim and says Shadah and He/she accept it with his/her by heart, then you cant make this question to him/her. Islam right or not?

Muslim is muslim because he/she believes Islam is right. The Quran (Kitabool mubeen) is only true and Mohammad saw is last messenger..
Time to Decide for question " Islam is right or not." beginns with Shadah. If I m wrong please correct me any1..
The problem is in amal, practicing it... There are is many factor what not to practice, like shaytan, nafs, social millieue and friends and motivation maybe others more... We can say its the shoor, i dont know how is in english to say it.
I hope I dont offend you with my cirticing your words...

Brother I agree with these. We just talk and not practice it.. We look others fault instead our self.
We just put ayah and hadith everywhere but we dont practice it. And we make double standart between muslim brothers and sisters...
Its a good start for 1 who dont practice islam much but he/she defend islam. That is good piont brother... When he/she is on this way may Allah swt will change him/her much more if he changes self...
