Allah's Description Of Those Who Ascribe A Son
#41
umm_Z, I just realized that you and I probably have a difference in terminology & understanding on this one. Can you explain what you mean when you say, "100% words of God"?

although u repeated on this very thread that it is not your aim to prove Quran faulty, yet, if u just skim thru your own posts, almost in every post u repeated the original issue.

I will Insh a Allah try to explain this to u. Actually u r using a word denifition approach. When we say we have an original book we mean just like I said before, Lifu repeated and Umm also. Allah revealed Quran, just as He revealed the Bible, and Torah, Scritpures or Daowud and Ibraheem before to the give Messenger thru Angle jebreel. The book was revealed throughout stages and times according to a certain schedule meant and decided by Allah for many purposes. These words which were transmitted to Mohamed salla Allah a`lyhee wa sallam are the same words we have today in our books regardless the doting and all that. I think I dont need to go thru the dotting issue for almost the 4th time, because as Umm just indicated questions are repeated and then u come saying it is not even an issue.

And just to settle one more point we are not saying anything against the bible to pull u off to Islam. No, as u stated many times u r happy as u r, we are happy Alhamdulelah. The points are raised naturally, whether or not it has a possitive or negative impact is not our aim. we are just discussing and not debating our religion

we are Alhamdulelah 100% sure we are correct.

At last before I end up here, u said u were trying to find how we reconcile with Quran contradictions and also tried to tear it apart. All u came up with till now as we all see and I dont think that three people can be wrong, is that u r focusing on a word game. The original. I didnt use game to redicule u, no. It is an approach.

u exactly know what we mean when we say original, yet try to twist the word to serve other purpose.

I have a question for u but I will not post it here ronniv on the other thread of Jesus discussion

Muslimah, I don't believe that *I* am the one playing the word games with respect to the term "original".

It is MUSLIMS who always say that Christians don't have the original Bible anymore. And when THEY (not necessarily you or anyone here, but Muslim sites and scholars), say ORIGINAL, they are referring to some big compilation, the very 1st one ever. <i>Honestly, even asking for this shows a lack of understanding of how the Bible came to be</i>.

Nevertheless, it is from Muslims that this challenge against the Bible comes.

<b>YET</b>, when the very same challenge is raised about the Quran (i.e, Where is the Original?), Islam cannot produce an ORIGINAL either.

But "<i>ALL OF A SUDDEN</i>", Muslims seem to be able to grasp the concept that original may not necessarily mean the 1st written document. They explain that they have COPIES of the original.

Well, if Muslims can understand this concept when it comes to the Quran, why can it not be understood about the Bible? <i><b>I am asking this as a rhetorical question. I don't expect anyone to answer that.</b></i>

So, it is not me playing the games. I feel the games start with teh Islamic community over this word.

Bismillah,

I will continue this thread under ''Is the Bible the 'word of God', under the column ''Discussions of beliefs'', since this subject now in focus does not seem to have anything to do with this threads subject.

Peace I never meant that the topic is a game no way Quran is not game islam is no game what I meant was just the approach ronniv is using to just stress that Quran is not the word of Allah. Let us put it this way.

Muslimah, I don't believe that I've stated in these threads that the Quran is not the word of Allah. My questions have also not been about this at all. So, where are you getting that from?

just go back to all of your posts, may be u didnt say this openly but the aim is there or let us say u need to feel so much comfortable about whether or not it is the word of Allah.

U know what ronniv, I sort of understand the stage u r passing. I will hold on here.

May Allah Help u really cross safely ameen

let me refresh your mind, u precisly replied in one thread (dont remember to who) that u put Quran being from Allah in quotes to avoid expressing yourself as believing as such.

Well, clearly I don't believe that the Quran was revealed by God, at least not the same God as I understand the Bible to reveal. If I did, I'd be Muslim.

But it is not my desire, with my questions/reasonings, to try to PROVE this to anyone. I simply have real questions. Maybe I'm wrong! Maybe the Quran was revealed by God. Well, if it is, I have to see/understand the Quran so I can see that for myself.

You seemed to be saying, with your statement, that all of my questions or inquiries are with the intent of proving the Quran to be NOT-revealed from God, which is incorrect.
