Think It's Time To Say Good-bye
#1

When I initially came here, I thought that this would be a place where I could ask genuine questions and get genuine answers.

And there have been some people who have tried to be helpful and nice since I've been here. But by-and-large, it's becoming a Bible-and-Christian-Bashing session time and time again. Now, we have people like Rehmat who, in my opinion, is just the type of person to confirm people's distrust and hatred for Muslims by his evil words and personal attacks and justification of the likes of bin Ladin.

I feel like I spend more time here defending my own faith than learning about Islam. That's the way these discussions always seem to go.

I didn't come here bashing Muhammad or calling him evil, ugly names. Nor did I come here with statements as stupid as "Islam is a terrorist religion". There is all kinds of information in books, on radio, on the Web that attack Islam, it's prophet, it's Book, etc. and some of the issues seem to be very valid to me. But my intent was not to come here with such things because I knew it would be offensive.

Apparently others do not have the same concern regarding us "kaffirs"; they don't care who they hurt or offend.

I didn't come here expressing myself in an evil way. That is nonetheless what <b>I</b> have been getting.

Anything I've said, I've been willing to back up with sources and with proof, yet the same people who demand such things of me are not willing themselves to do the same. That is what is called hypocricy.

I do not like it here anymore and in fact, the attacks on my faith have actually caused me to research, study, read and pray and my faith is now stronger than it was before. Perhaps certain individuals should change their tactics and methodologies.

Thanks to those who did not exhibit such behavior.

Unfortunately, it is time for me to make my exit, because I cannot and will not tolerate such incorrect and ugly things to be said about my or my faith <b>ESPECIALLY</b> when people can't back it up.

So long.

I remeber you saying you read the Qur'an is that right? And also after coming here and being amongst Muslims you are now stronger in your faith. So after reading the word of God and learning about God, you will turn your back on him. This is a shame but more importantly is a dangerous route, it's a shame you wish to leave in a way, and i know i was harsh on you when you arrived i was wrong there, i just don't and never will understand how anyone with a sensible mind who has deeply researched Christianity / Bible can be a Christian. I never will, i just assume these people have never read Qur'an and know no better. Or have read it and locked into a solid denial once the words or people or some other Islamic knowledge touched their soul. This is frightening to some, and they turn away as you have...i did as well before i was Muslim.

But someone such as your self who has read the Qur'an (i belive you said, forgive me if i'm wrong) and who knows of Islam, then turns from it becoming stronger in a faith that doesn't even know what it is itself, Christianity or Catholicism or etc etc. It makes me look at how i was sharp with you when you arrived and feel bad for what i did. Because turning from God in this way, will bring such a punishment on you, and i would hate to think in someway i contributed to that. All i ask if you're reading is please don't give up on your study however basic on Islam, and one day return to looking into it. God bought you here for a reason, to turn from him is very very bad, that's the only way i can put it.

So once again i apoligize if i was one of those who you speak of.. and please sooner rather than later embrace Islam. Look deeper into your own faith and by natural course of events, you will move toward Islam again. As you did the first time you came here, because there must have been a reason for you being here everyday, when you are apparently so strong in your faith. I actually asked this question elsewhere saw you reading it but unfortunately you didn't answer it, i even PM'D you to answer it. But the point of what i'm saying is...please think deeply about turning from God in this way. I'm being serious this time.

I will pray for you.

If u feel like leaving noone can certainly force u to stay. I understand your point about the bible bashing thing. I agree with u on that. Originally we are not inclined to that. Me personally I prefer to learn and help others learn Quran. If they come to Islam it is for their own interest, if not we did our job and posted useful materials for others to use. Since Allah Shall remain One.

As for u having concerns about a certain members. I am sure u understand that this is a board, each member has his/her own way of expression, some of them might not be correct. We as mods team try to do our best to moderate the dicssuions back to the proper theme. I am sure u noticed that.

As for bringing info that are not backed. I remember u and I have an unfinished point. I am aware of this, never neglected or ignored. It was Eid, usually we get somehow busy with family and celebration . Such issues need a clear mind to be addressed.

Well again if u feel like going we can not force u to stay. I d rather advice u stay and just browse the forum, u will learn a lot. Just forget about the bible bashing posts and go to Islam room and read....

Other wise I have no other option but to say good buy ronniv.

Just trying to refresh your memory and bring about why some members went into the bible criticism manner:

(<b>In my opinion, much of the dialogue surrounding Islam involves having to put other religions down. Just as one example, to establish the Quran as the true word of God, it's often stated that the Bible has been corrupted, it's tampered with and wrong, yet the Quran has no changes.</b>

But frankly, neither of the above statements is true. And if that is all that Islam has to stand on, then that is not enough to convince me.

Or then, some people will try to prove that Jesus prophesied about Muhammad's coming and frankly..... He did not. Each scripture I have seen must be twisted, and pulled and distorted (the same thing that Christians are accused of) to make it fit Muhammad (or any other human being for that matter).

You know what? I apologize for taking up time and space here. I guess that at this point, I've heard all the arguments that I'm ever going to hear.

I still believe in what I believe and feel confident in it.)

This is what u posted on your very first thread. As such members tried to bring about contradictions in the Bible not to sort of mock u or your faith. No. Most importantly remember, we didnt go to u on purpose and do that. No u were here asking questions and we had to put answers.

Much difference. [Image: smile.gif]
