Hi Shaunee
I would like to tell u a true story that happened to arab muslims who were studying in US, they had an old american neighbor, they used to c her every morning and greet her on thier way to college, she was a bit conservative with them them being muslims, but she did appreciate them greeting her. Then the couple missed the woman for about a week they did not c her come out every day at her specified time, they asked about her some other neighbours they told them that she was sick. So they decided to pay her a visit, they took her a bouquet of flower and visited her, so she asked them why are u visiting me, I do not relate to u and I am a christian? The couples looked at each other and smiled, They told her: Our Beloved Prophet used to visit the sick and help them even if they were non muslims, and he also asked us to be nice to our neighbours even if he is far 7 blocks away. and u r next to our door, we must visit u and wish u good health. The woman cried, and said: I have a son that I havent seen for years, I called him asking him to come to c him, I am afraid that I will die before i c him again, he said: oh mom I am so busy cant come, hope u will be better. And u total strangers to me come and ask about me. And because of this the woman embraced Islam, and her neighbors became sister and brother.
Maybe we miss conveyed what we wanted to say Shaunee, but what sister Ummzakhariya said is correct, there are grades of love to each. So do not think that we hate u or something, on the contrary, we do care for every human being in this world, that is true Islam, caring for others and helping them to c the truth.
Peace
