Bin Baaz, as he was the one who gave a fatwa which legitamised the U.S presence in the gulf war in 1991.

This was a right fatwa at that time brother Deen, because Saddam invaded Kuwait, he was killing and torturing all those who were opposing him, and women were raped by his men sorry to say this. and he was on his way to Saudi Arabia, so at that time it is legal to ask the aid of them against such a tyrant, because by the time u will wait for arab leaders to take a decision then it will be too late. Sorry that I do not agree with u this time, because u should know that scholars give their fatwas according to situatuions that are happening, or they might give 2 persons different fatwas according to their situation, and that what the prophet used to do and his sahabas, and also the early scholars like Ahmad Ibn Hanbal, and others. I think u should recall some of such occasions. So please brother do not be so overwhelmed in your anxiety and, Bin Baz is a very respected scholar, he feared Allah a lot and he would not give a fatwa which is against muslims welfare. Let us not be hasty in our actions and accusations against Ula'ama, and Allah knows best.

Imam Abu-Hanifah said: "If you see a scholar at the gates of a tyrant ruler, question his Imaan".

As far as the muslims are concerned there is no difference between Sadman Saddam and the saddistic Sauds. Saddam bought death and misery in accordance to the plots of his pay masters i.e. the US's objectives of establishing themselves in the region.

The Sauds bought blood and destruction to the 2 holy mosques, rebelled against the Khalifah and allied with the British (at that time) against the muslims.

As many of the muslims know, it is not rocket science to know that it is not allowed to ask the kufaar for help so they can kill muslims.

As for seeking help/aide/support etc. etc. from the kufaar, please read the following verses which many are not open to interpretation and the tafsir by Ibn Kathir:

(Let not the believers take the disbelievers as friends instead of the believers, and whoever does that, will never be helped by Allah in any way, except if you indeed fear a danger from them. And Allah warns you against Himself, and to Allah is the final return.)

After Allah mentioned that the believers are the supporters of one another, He severed all ties of support between them and the disbelievers. In his Mustadrak, Al-Hakim recorded that Usamah said that the Prophet said,

«لَا يَتَوَارَثُ أَهْلُ مِلَّتَيْنِ، وَلَا يَرِثُ مُسْلِمٌ كَافِرًا، وَلَا كَافِرٌ مُسْلِمًا»

(No followers of two religions inherit from each other. Therefore, neither a Muslim inherits from a disbeliever nor a disbeliever from a Muslim.)

The Prophet recited this Ayah,

(And those who disbelieve are supporters of one another, (and) if you (Muslims) do not do so (protect one another), there will be Fitnah on the earth, and great corruption.) Al-Hakim said, "Its chain is Sahih, and they did not record it.'' However, the following, from Usamah bin Zayd, is in the Two Sahihs; the Messenger of Allah said,

«لَا يَرِثُ الْمُسْلِمُ الْكَافِرَ وَلَا الْكَافِرُ الْمُسْلِم»

(Neither a Muslim inherits from a disbeliever nor a disbeliever inherits from a Muslim.)

Allah said next,

(<b>If you do not do so, there will be Fitnah and oppression on the earth, and a great corruption</b>), meaning, if you do not shun the idolators and offer your loyalty to the believers, Fitnah will overcome the people. Then confusion [polytheism and corruption] will be rampant, for the believers will be mixed with disbelievers, resulting in tremendous, widespread trials [corruption and mischief] between people.

O ye who believe! Take not my enemies and yours as friends (or protectors),- offering them (your) love, even though they have rejected the Truth that has come to you, and have (on the contrary) driven out the Prophet and yourselves (from your homes), (simply) because ye believe in Allah your Lord! If ye have come out to strive in My Way and to seek My Good Pleasure, (take them not as friends), holding secret converse of love (and friendship) with them: for I know full well all that ye conceal and all that ye reveal. And any of you that does this has strayed from the Straight Path.

As for Ijtihad, it is based upon studying the reality and applying an Islamic hukm upon it.

May be you can help us all recall occasions where Muhammad (SAW) asked help or support from the kufaar against the muslims.

There were instances where Muhammad (SAW) would ask the non-muslim tribes to fight with him, BUT on the condition that they fight under the Islamic banner and under his command, not under their banner of Kuf'r.

Bin Baaz obviously did give a fatwa for which we are seeing the fruits of today by allowing the kufaar establish permanent bases to launch air strikes upon the noble ummah of Muhammad (SAW).

So let us please start applying the Islamic aqeedah upon the reality and be a little more astute, rather than making excuses, as our leadership should be to the aqeedah and to Allah SWT, not to individuals.

"There will come a time when the kufaar will scheme against you in the same way as greedy eaters vie with one another on the dining-table.' One of the companions, may Allah be pleased with them all, asked: 'O Messenger of Allah! Will that relate to being few in numbers?' The Prophet said: 'No, but your huge number will be of little effectiveness, and (Allah) will cast Al-Wahan in your hearts. They said: O Messenger of Allah, what does Al-Wahan mean? He said, 'Your hearts are strongly attached to life luxuries and you feel strong aversion to death." (Reported by Ahmad and Abu-Dawud)

as salam alykom brother Deen

i am still trying to clarify with u the Jihad and Qital. Why do u think Allah brought the two words in different position in Quran? hot haphazardouly of course:

Look at one of many Ayahs:

"And strive hard in Allah's Cause as you ought to strive (with sincerity and with all your efforts that His Name should be superior)" (Quran 22:78)

Ib Katheer said in his tafsir:

<b>((And strive hard in Allah's cause as you ought to strive.) means, with your wealth and your tongues and your bodies)
</b>

Ijust dont want to prolonge the post, all the Ayahs including a command of Jihad bear the same meaning, that Jihad is comprehensive including Jihad with word, money, nafs and of course physical fighting.

Just as in many other Ayahs.

While if u ignore this command:

"And fight in the Way of Allah those who fight you, but transgress not the limits. Truly, Allah likes not the transgressors. [This Verse is the first one that was revealed in connection with Jihad, but it was supplemented by another - 2:190]." (Quran 2:190)

We need really to understand the Quran as is in order not to put meanings that are not there.

Just as Lifutushi questioned in his post, no ghazahs were sent to Aisia where Islam Alhamdulelah spread with the good model when merchants went there and people just copied them

Just needed to clarify this point.

Besides the Najran exmple is actually a significant situation in the Islamic history in which Allah revealed the following Ayah:

"Then whoever disputes with you concerning him ['Iesa (Jesus)] after (all this) knowledge that has come to you, [i.e. 'Iesa (Jesus)] being a slave of Allah, and having no share in Divinity) say: (O Muhammad ﺻﻠﻰ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻭﺳﻠﻢ) "Come, let us call our sons and your sons, our women and your women, ourselves and yourselves - then we pray and invoke (sincerely) the Curse of Allah upon those who lie."

" (Quran 3:61)

When the delegation came to meet with the Messenger objecting to him saying Eassa is just a Prophet and he suggested that they meet next day and invoke upon Allah to curse the liars. They could not stand the test and prefered to pay Jiziah.

I fully agree with u on not asking aid from Kufar and we have the rulings on this as per this Ayah:

"And if two parties or groups among the believers fall to fighting, then make peace between them both, but if one of them rebels against the other, then fight you (all) against the one that which rebels till it complies with the Command of Allah; then if it complies, then make reconciliation between them justly, and be equitable. Verily! Allah loves those who are equitable." (Quran 49:9)

This is the ruling in such case not and never call kafirs and take them as support

may Allah find us a way out.

Brother I hope my point is well introduced to u.

Then there is a mistake

Quote:Radiyah, sorry I dont agree that US was the solution to protect MUSLIM land, yes Saddam was doing all that. But Muslims should have faced it themselves.
Any way this could really get off topic and toooo political.

No1 is perfect(and that is me) [Image: rolleyes.gif], but i am trying to explain that we are not to fall under accusing people specially scholars, and we leave that to Allah, only he knows what is ones intention and only he knows what is in ones heart, right or not sister. Where there muslims leaders at that time or even now [Image: blink.gif] . May Allah return the days of Alsahaba, Salah Al-deen, and Qutuz. Ameeen

And Allah knows best

where is Qutuz by the way?
