The Death Of Death
#1

Bismillah

Abu Hurayra reported that Allah's Messenger said: "After the people of Paradise enter Paradise and the People of the Fire enter Hell, Death will be brought foreward in the form of a spotted ram. It will be on the wall which seperated the people of Paradise from the people of the Fire. Then it will be said: 'O people of Paradise!' Thereupon they will raise their heads and stare apprehensively. Then it will be said: 'O people of the Fire!' Whereupon its inhabitants will raise their heads in hope of intercession. After this the people of Paradise and the inhabitants of the Fire will be addressed thus: 'Do you know what this is?' They will all reply: 'We know it; it is Death, which was assigned to us.' Thereupon Death will be placed on its side and slaughtered on the wall. Finally, it will be said: 'O people of Paradise, only eternity and no more death. O people of the Fire, only eternity and more death.'"

"I can't afford to die. It would wreck my image!" - Jack Lelanne. Always there for the one-liners.

Who's JD? Was he a Jack Le Lanne fan? I'm confused. I posted this because it happened to pop into my head while reading this threat. I read it in a recent Esquire interview. Anyway, just trying to add some light-hearted humor to what is usually otherwise a depressing topic.

O sorry PII for the confusion. I was referring to John Doe the member JD. We dont see death as a depressing issue, weird isnt it. We need to learn how to prepare and try to attain the best Insh a Allah

No worries.

I don't see death as a depressing thing either. What a coincidence! My take is a little different (well, a lot different) than the traditional Muslim belief though. I don't really believe in death. Nor birth for that matter. I mean, I was never really born. I was a foetus, which was an embryo, which was an egg, which was created when my mother was a foetus, etc. So when I die, I won't really die. I will rot and become eaten by worms and such, thus feeding them and giving them strength to make new life, which will repeate until the United States destroys the earth with nuclear weapons ;-)

Ok, so the United States thing was a joke (a dark joke at that), but the rest is basically true. It's a very buddhist perspective.

If someone wouldn't mind, could you explain (in stupid American speak) the fundamental Muslim belief in death? Or provide me with a link if the basics have already been covered on thie forum? Jolly good then. Cheerio!

PII, I must say that u brought up excellent points, and yes I can see the buddhist impact clearly in your statement. how about saying stay tune Insh a Allah will come up with a description. And Insh a Allah will do that in simple English language no quotation of hadeeth or Quran for u to understand the whole process and situation.

So stay tune..... Insh aAllah will be back [Image: smile.gif]
