Know Him better ---Prophet Muhammad ---
#1

Al Salam 'alaykom wa rahmat Allah wa barakatuh

<b>Prophet Muhammad
</b>

May Peace Of Allah and Blessings Be upon him

<b>Bismillah Al-Rahman Al-Raheem:
</b>

I seek assistance in Allah the most gracious the most merciful, Verily all praise to Allah, we praise him seek his aid and ask for his forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allah from the evil of ourselves and the evil of our actions. Whomsoever Allah guides then there is none who can misguide him, and whomsoever Allah misguides then there is none who can guide him. I bear the witness that none has the right to be worshipped except Allah alone, having no partners, and I bear witness that Muhammad is his Slave and messenger, may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him.

In my last post I stopped at the point that we will refer to Qûran sciences, but before starting that issue, I thought that it is most important to refer first to the personality of our great Prophet Muhammad, and his characteristics and proof that he is truly Prophet and Messenger of God, since the main topic is to follow his steps(PBUH), may Allah be my Assistant and Guidance to what he loves and desires, ameen.

<b>First: His Moral
</b>

Now if we think in a rational way, we will say: Who can describe the Prophet(PBUH) better than the one and only God, Allah Subhanahu Wa T'ala, Allah (SWT) described Prophet Muhammad in The Holy Qûran as being in the highest rank of morals:

Bismillah Al-Rahman Al-Raheem :

<b>4. And verily, you (O Muhammad ) are on an exalted standard of character.,
</b> 68, Al-Qalam

translation of this ayah according to Ibn Katheer is:

Sa'id bin Abi Arubah reported from Qatadah that he said, "It has been mentioned to us that Sa'd bin Hisham asked A'ishah about the character of the Messenger of Allah , so she replied: 'Have you not read the Qur'an' Sa'd said: 'Of course.' Then she said: 'Verily, the character of the Messenger of Allah was the Qur'an.'" Abdur-Razzaq recorded similar to this and Imam Muslim recorded it in his Sahih on the authority of Qatadah in its full length. This means that
<b>he would act according to the commands and the prohibition in the Qur'an. His nature and character were patterned according to the Qur'an, and he abandoned his natural disposition
(i.e., the carnal nature). So whatever the Qur'an commanded, he did it, and whatever it forbade, he avoided it. Along with this,
Allah gave him the exalted character, which included the qualities of modesty, kindness, bravery, pardoning, gentleness and every other good characteristic.
This is like that which has been confirmed in the Two Sahihs that Anas said, "I served the Messenger of Allah for ten years,
and he never said a word of displeasure to me (Uff), nor did he ever say to me concerning something I had done: 'Why did you do that' And he never said to me concerning something I had not done:
'Why didn't you do this' He had the best character, and I never touched any silk or anything else that was softer than the palm of the Messenger of Allah . And I never smelled any musk or perfume that had a better fragrance than the sweat of the Messenger of Allah." Imam Al-Bukhari recorded that Al-Bara' said, "The Messenger of Allah had the most handsome face of all the people, and he had the best behavior of all of the people. And he was not tall, nor was he short.'' The Hadiths concerning this matter are numerous. Abu Isa At-Tirmidhi has a complete book on this subject called Kitab Ash-Shama'il. Imam Ahmad recorded that A'ishah said, "
The Messenger of Allah never struck a servant of his with his hand, nor did he ever hit a woman. He never hit anything with his hand, except for when he was fighting Jihad in the cause of Allah.
And he was never given the option between two things except that the most beloved of the two to him was the easiest of them, as long as it did not involve sin
If it did involve sin, then he stayed farther away from sin than any of the people. He would not avenge himself concerning anything that was done to him, except if the limits of Allah were transgressed.
Then, in that case he would avenge for the sake of Allah. Imam Ahmad also recorded from Abu Hurayrah that the Messenger of Allah said, (I have only been sent to perfect righteous behavior.) Ahmad was alone in recording this Hadith."
</b>

Second:Truthfulness and trustworthy

The Prophet(PBUH) was known to be the most truthful person in his time, he never told a lie in his whole life, and he was known to be as Al-Sadiq(truthful), Al-Ameen(trustworthy), people during his time, even the most arrogant used to beleive him as being truthful and trustworthy, they used to keep their money and gold with him if they were to travel for trading to Yemen or Al-Sham province, because they knew that they will come back and find their money and treasure safe not missing one fils. How then can he be accused of a liar and wanting worldly gains, Allah forbid, he could at least ask for interest or gain on basis of safe keeping their money just as banks and investment companies do nowadays in managing portfolios and safe custody service. But no it is not him that will care about wealth or worldly gains, never did he prostrate to an idol, never did he commit any sin. The following hadeeth is when Allah Subhanahu Wa T'ala ordered him to spread the word of Islam:

<b>"Ibn Abbas (radhiallahu anhu) narrated that when the Verse: "And warn your tribe of near kindred.” (26:214) was revealed, Allah’s Messenger (sallallâhu ‘alayhi wasallam) went out, and when he had ascended As-Safa mountain, he shouted, "O Sabahah!" The people said, "Who is that?” "Then they gathered around him, whereupon he said, "Do you see? If I inform you that cavalrymen are proceeding up the side of this mountain, will you believe me” They said, “We have never heard you telling a lie.” Then he (sallallâhu ‘alayhi wasallam) said, "I am a plain warner to you of a coming severe punishment.” Abu Lahab said, "May you perish! You gathered us only for this reason?” Then Abu Lahab went away. So the Surat: "Perish the hands of Abu Lahab!” (111:1) was revealed.” (Bukhari 6/495) "</b>

Even then — in Al-Jahiliyah — they used to turn to him for judgment and consultation. In a version by At-Tirmidhi, he says that ‘Ali had said that he had been told by Abu Jahl that he (Abu Jahl) said to Allah’s Messenger(Peace and blessings of Allah be upon him):<b> “We do not call you a liar; but we do not have faith in what you have brought.”
</b>In His Book, Allâh, the Exalted, said about them:

Bismillah Al-Rahman Al-Raheem :

<b>33. We know indeed the grief which their words cause you (O Muhammad ): it is not you that they deny, but it is the Verses (the Qur'ân) of Allâh that the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrongdoers) deny 6, Al-An'am
</b>

Even when Heraclius asked Abu Sufyan:<b> “Have you ever accused him of lying before the ministry of Prophethood?” Abu Sufyan said: “No.”
</b>

He was most modest and far from being arrogant or proud. He forbade people to stand up at his presence as other people usually do for their kings. Visiting the poor, the needy and entertaining them are some of his habits. If a slave invited him, he would accept the invitation. The Prophet (PBUH) is known to have always told the truth even when joking with his companions, he even cursed those who make lies just to make people laugh:

"Abu Hurairah (radhiallahu anhu) narrated that when they said,<b> “Messenger of Allah, do you make jokes with us!” He (sallallâhu ‘alayhi wasallam) replied, “I say nothing but the truth.”
</b>(Tirmidhi 4885)

Mu'awiyah Ibn Jaydah al-Qushayri (radhiallahu anhu) narrated that Allah’s Messenger (sallallâhu ‘alayhi wasallam) said, <b>“Woe to him who tells things, speaking falsely, to make people laugh thereby. Woe to him! Woe to him!”
</b> (Abu Dawud 4972)"

Then it is our responsibilities as true Muslims to follow the model of our beloved Prophet and never tell a lie:

Bismillah Al-Rahman Al-Raheem

<b>119.O you who believe! Fear Allah and be with those who are truthful.
</b> ,9: Surat Altauba

<b>33.That Allah will reward the people of Truth for their Truth, and punish the Hypocrites if that be His Will, or turn to them in Mercy; for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
</b> ,33: Surat Al-Ahzab.

Abu Hurairah (radhiallahu anhu) narrated that Allah’s Messenger (sallallâhu ‘alayhi wasallam) said, <b> “A Muslim is one from whose tongue and hand the Muslims are safe and a believer is one in whom people place their trust in regard to their life and wealth.”
</b> (Tirmidhi 33 and Nasa'i).

We should never attribute something that has no basis in the Qur’an and the Sunnah to the Prophet (sallallâhu ‘alayhi wasallam), or to Islam as a whole. We should take admonitions from the following warnings:

Ali (radhiallahu anhu) narrated that the Prophet (sallallâhu ‘alayhi wasallam) said, <b> “Do not tell a lie against me for whoever tells a lie against me (intentionally) then he will surely enter the Hell-fire.”
</b> (Bukhari 1/106 and Ibn Majah 1/31)

Salama (radhiallahu anhu) narrated that he heard the Prophet (sallallâhu ‘alayhi wasallam) saying,<b> “Whoever (intentionally) ascribes to me what I have not said then (surely) let him occupy his seat in Hell-fire.”
</b> (Bukhari 1/109)

Wathila bin Al Asqa (radhiallahu anhu) narrated that Allah’s Messenger (sallallâhu ‘alayhi wasallam) said, <b> “Verily, one of the worst lies is to claim falsely to be the son of someone other than one’s real father; or to claim to have had a dream one has not had; or to attribute to me what I have not said.”
</b> (Bukhari 4/712)

Abdullah ibn Abbas (radhiallahu anhu) narrated that Allah’s Messenger (sallallâhu ‘alayhi wasallam) said:<b> "Be mindful when transmitting a Hâdîth from me. (Transmit) only that which you know (very well) for he who intentionally lies about me will find his abode in Hell-Fire.”
</b> (Tirmidhi 232).

We must include in our prayers and ask Allah to give us the best of characters and manners, in everything we do or speak we must fear Allah we must be honest with ourselves and others never telling lies. Telling lies do great harms to us especially in the eternal world. If we die without asking Allah’s forgiveness and we are recorded in His presence as liars, then we will have a terrible punishment in the Hereafter. As much as possible, we must avoid telling lies. We must take warning from the following Hâdîth:

Samura bin Jundub (radhiallahu anhu) narrated that the Prophet (sallallâhu ‘alayhi wasallam) said,<b> “I saw (in a dream) two men came to me.”
</b> Then the Prophet (sallallâhu ‘alayhi wasallam) narrated the story (saying),<b> “They said, 'The person, the one whose cheek you saw being torn away (from the mouth to the ear) was a liar and used to tell lies. And the people would report those lies on his authority till they spread all over the world. So he will be punished like that till the Day of Resurrection.’”
</b> (Bukhari)8/118

<b>Third: His roots and who is his descendants
</b>

Bismillah Al-Rahman Al-Raheem:

35. And (remember) when Ibrâhim (Abraham) said: "O my Lord! Make this city (Makkah) one of peace and security, and keep me and my sons away from worshipping idols.

36. "O my Lord! They have indeed led astray many among mankind. But whoso follows me, he verily is of me. And whoso disobeys me, - still You are indeed Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

37. "O our Lord! I have made some of my offspring to dwell in an uncultivable valley by Your Sacred House (the Ka'bah at Makkah); in order, O our Lord, that they may perform As-Salât (Iqâmat-as-Salât), so fill some hearts among men with love towards them, and (O Allâh) provide them with fruits so that they may give thanks.[?COLOR] 14, Surat Ibrahim

" The Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) was born on April 22, 570 A.D. ( 9th Rabi Al-Awwal) in Makkah. His early life is characterized by loss. The Prophet's (pbuh) father died before he was born, and as an orphan he was left to the care of his mother, Amina, and his grandfather, Abdul-Muttalib"[?COLOR] read the rest of this article at:

<b>Fourth: His descent to Abraham(PBUH)
</b>

He is Muhammad bin Abdallah, bin Abdulmutaleb, bin Hashem, bin Abd manaf, Ibn Qusay Ibn Kilab, Bin Murra, Bin Ka'ab, Ibn Lo'ay, bin Ghaleb bin Fahr, Bin malik Ibn Al-Nader Ibn Kinana Ibn Khuzayma bin Mudraka Bin Elias, Bin Mader bin Nizar Bin Ma'ed, Ibn Adnan. this is the chain to his hounorable root, and their is no doubt that Adnan is from Prophet Ismael's sons who is in his turn the son of our father Abraham(PBUH).

<b><span style="color:#FF0000;">Fifth: His Appearance:
</span></b>

<b><span style="color:#FF0000;">Muhammad (pbuh) was of a height a little above the average. He was of sturdy build with long muscular limbs and tapering fingers. The hair of his head was long and thick with some waves in them. His forehead was large and prominent, his eyelashes were long and thick, his nose was sloping, his mouth was somewhat large and his teeth were well set. His cheeks were spare and he had a pleasant smile. His eyes were large and black with a touch of brown. His beard was thick and at the time of his death, he had seventeen gray hairs in it. He had a thin line of fine hair over his neck and chest. He was fair of complexion and altogether was so handsome that Abu Bakr composed this couplet on him:

This is in short the characteristics of Prophet Mohammad, (PBUH), and if we want to talk in detail we will never finish this thread, Him Being raised in a noble family, who never asked for worldly gains is a liar(Ao'tho Billah Min thalik) God forbid, he is the most exalted, pure hearted, honest, kind hearted, brave, gentle, modest, forgiving, generous, sacrificing, modest, humorous, sincere, just, shy, truthful, courageous character that ever existed, and no matter how much we speak of him or describe him we will not give him enough attribute that he deserve, he is the savior for all humanity, and those who deny his Prophethood will not harm anyone but themselves:

Bismillah Al-Rahman Al-Raheem:

<b><span style="color:#FF0000;">19.And those who believe in Allah and His messengers they are the Truthful and the martyrs in the eyes of their Rabb. They shall have their Reward and their Light. But those who reject Allah and deny Our Signs, they are the Companions of Hell-Fire.,
</b></span>57: Surat Al-Hadeed

18.Who does more wrong than those who invent a lie against Allah? They will be turned back to the Presence of their Rabb and the witnesses will say, ‘These are the ones who lied against their Rabb!’ Behold! The curse of Allah is on those who do wrong!, 11: Surat Hud

Bismillah Al-Rahman Al-Raheem:

4. And verily, you (O Muhammad ) are on an exalted standard of character.

5. You will see, and they will see,

6. Which of you is afflicted with madness.

7. Verily, your Lord knows better, who (among men) has gone astray from His Path, and He knows better those who are guided.

8. So (O Muhammad ) obey not the deniers [(of Islâmic Monotheism those who belie the Verses of Allâh), the Oneness of Allâh, and the Messenger of Allâh (Muhammad ), etc.]

9. They wish that you should compromise (in religion out of courtesy) with them, so they (too) would compromise with you.

10. And obey not everyone who swears much, and is considered worthless,

11. A slanderer, going about with calumnies,

12. Hinderer of the good, transgressor, sinful,

13. Cruel, after all that base-born (of illegitimate birth),

14. (He was so) because he had wealth and children.

15. When Our Verses (of the Qur'ân) are recited to him, he says: "Tales of the men of old!"

16. We shall brand him over the nose! , 68, Al-Qalam

When the battle of Bader took place, Al-Waleed Ibn Mugheera was killed and he was branded on his nose, the verses of Surat Al-Qalam revelation was before The battle of Bader took place. In one of his lectures to us scholar sayed Noh said that in the verse from ayas 10 to 16 is describing Al-Waleed Ibn Mugheera , him being of illigitimate birth, no one ever knew that this man was not the son of his father, even Waleed himself, when this verse was revealed he went to his mother and asked her if it was true, because deep down in him he knew that this is the true word of Allah and that Prophet Muhammad(PBUH) is not a liar, she admitted and said the truth and that she had him from adultry, who told the prophet, how did he know, a secret that nobody knew and was never revealed, Allah the All-Knower, he sees everything he knows everything, Indeed Prophet Muhammad is a messenger Of God. No matter what various wicked ways the enemies of Islam come up with to prove the contrary, it is clear and obvious as the shining sun.

<b><span style="color:#FF0000;">AL-WALEED BIN AL-MUGHERAH SAYING ABOUT THE QUR'AN
</span></b>

" The proclamation of the call to Islam had only been a few months old when the season of pilgrimage was soon to come. The Quraish knew that Arab delegates were coming within a short time. They agreed that it was necessary to device a plan that was bound to keep the Arab pilgrims away from the new faith preached by Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). They went to see Al-Waleed bin Al-Mugheerah to discuss this issue who suggested that agree on a resolution that could enjoy the approval of all of them. However, they were at variance. Some suggested that they describe Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) as a soothsayer; but this suggestion was turned down on the grounds that his words were not so rhymed. Others proposed Majnun, i.e., possessed by jinn; this was also rejected because no insinuations peculiar to that state of mind were detected, they claimed. “Why not say he is a poet?” Some said. Here again they could not reach a common stand, alleging that his words were totally outside poetry. “OK. Then let us accuse him of practicing witchcraft,” was a fourth suggestion. Here also Al-Waleed showed some reluctance saying that the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) was known to have never involved himself in the practice of blowing on the knots and admitted that his speech was like a sweet tasting root and branch. He however, found that the most plausible charge to be leveled against Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) was witchcraft. The ungodly company agreed to propagate one uniform formula projecting that Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) was a magician so powerful and commanding in his art that he would successfully alienate sons from fathers, brothers from brothers, wife from her husband and man from his clan. It is noteworthy in this regard to say that Allah revealed sixteen verses as regards Al-Waleed and the cunning method he devised to misguide the people expected to arrive in Makkah for pilgrimage."

to be continued ...

Alsalam 'alaykom

May Allah be my guide and assistance, to continue from last post:

Allah(SWT) says:

Bismillah Al-Rahman Al-Raheem:

<b></b>

94. And nothing prevented men from believing when the guidance came to them, except that they said: "Has Allâh sent a man as (His) Messenger?"

95. Say: "If there were on the earth, angels walking about in peace and security, We should certainly have sent down for them from the heaven an angel as a Messenger."

96. Say: "Sufficient is Allâh for a witness between me and you. Verily! He is the All-Knower, the All-Seer of His slaves."

97. And he whom Allâh guides, he is led aright; but he whom He sends astray for such you will find no Auliyâ' (helpers and protectors, etc.), besides Him, and We shall gather them together on the Day of Resurrection on their faces, blind, dumb and deaf, their abode will be Hell; whenever it abates, We shall increase for them the fierceness of the Fire.

98. That is their recompense, because they denied Our Ayât
(proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) and said: "When we are bones and fragments, shall we really be raised up as a new creation?"

99. See they not that Allâh, Who created the heavens and the earth, is Able to create the like of them. And He has decreed for them an appointed term, whereof there is not doubt. But the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong-doers, etc.) refuse (the truth the Message of Islâmic Monotheism, and accept nothing) but disbelief.

105. And with truth We have sent it down (i.e. the Qur'ân), and with truth it has descended. And We have sent you (O Muhammad ) as nothing but a bearer of glad tidings (of Paradise, for those who follow your Message of Islâmic Monotheism), and a warner (of Hell-fire for those who refuse to follow your Message of Islâmic Monotheism).

106. And (it is) a Qur'ân which We have divided (into parts), in order that you might recite it to men at intervals. And We have revealed it by stages. (in 23 years).

107. Say (O Muhammad to them): "Believe in it (the Qur'ân) or do not believe (in it)
. Verily! Those who were given knowledge before it (the Jews and the Christians like 'Abdullâh bin Salâm and Salmân Al-Farisî), when it is recited to them, fall down on their faces in humble prostration."

108. And they say: "Glory be to our Lord! Truly, the Promise of our Lord must be fulfilled."

109. And they fall down on their faces weeping and it adds to their humility.

110. Say (O Muhammad ): "Invoke Allâh or invoke the Most Beneficent (Allâh), by whatever name you invoke Him (it is the same), for to Him belong the Best Names. And offer your Salât (prayer) neither aloud nor in a low voice, but follow a way between.

111. And say: "All the praises and thanks be to Allâh, Who has not begotten a son (nor an offspring), and Who has no partner in (His) Dominion, nor He is low to have a Walî (helper, protector or supporter).
And magnify Him with all the magnificence, [Allâhu-Akbar (Allâh is the Most Great)]." 17, Al-Esra'

How can anyone then deny, except those who are lost astray and do not see the truth, or they do not want to see the truth.

<b>You may be an atheist or an agnostic or you may belong to any of the religious denominations that exist in the world today. You may have been a Communist or a believer in democracy and freedom. No matter what you are, and no matter what your religious and political beliefs, personal and social habits happen to be— YOU STILL MUST KNOW THIS MAN!"

"I have studied him — the wonderful man — and in my opinion far from being an anti-Christ he must be called the saviour of humanity."

<b>George Bernard Shaw in "The Genuine Islam"</b>

"People like Pasteur and Salk are leaders in the first sense. People like Gandhi and Confucius, on one hand, and Alexander, Caesar and Hitler on the other, are leaders in the second and perhaps the third sense. Jesus and Buddha belong in the third category alone. Perhaps the greatest leader of all times was Mohammed, who combined all three functions. To a lesser degree, Moses did the same."

<b>Professor Jules Masserman</b>

<b>
</b>

"Head of the State as well as the Church, lie was Caesar and Pope in one, but, he was Pope without the Pope's pretensions, and Caesar without the legions of Caesar, without a standing army, without a bodyguard, without a police force, without a fixed revenue. ft ever a man had the right to say that he ruled by a right divine, it was Muhummed. for he had all the powers without their supports. He cared not tor the dressings of power. The simplicity of his private life was in keeping with his public life.""

"It is impossible for anyone who studies the life and character of the great prophet of Arabia, who knows how he taught and how he live,. to feel anything but reverence for that mighty Prophet, one of the great messengers of the Supreme. And although in what I put to you I shall say many things which may be familiar to many, yet I myself feel whenever I re-read them, a new way of admiration, a new of reverence for that mighty Arabian teacher."

</b>

"I wanted to know the best of one who holds today's undisputed sway over the hearts of millions of mankind....I became more than convinced that it was not the sword that won a place for Islam in those days in the scheme of life. It was the rigid simplicity, the utter self-effacement of the Prophet, the scrupulous regard for his pledges, his intense devotion to this friends and followers, his intrepidity, his fearlessness, his absolute trust in God and in his own mission. These and not the sword carried everything before them and surmounted every obstacle. When I closed the 2nd volume (of the Prophet's biography), I was sorry there was not more for me to read of the great life."

<b>Mahatma Gandhi</b>

<b>
</b>

"His readiness to undergo persecutions for his beliefs, the high moral character of the men who believed in him and looked up to him as leader, and the greatness of his ultimate achievement - all argue his fundamental integrity. To suppose Muhammad an impostor raises more problems than it solves. Moreover, none of the great figures of history is so poorly appreciated in the West as Muhammad."

<b>W. Montgomery Watt, MOHAMMAD AT MECCA, Oxford, 1953, p. 52.</b>

Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said:

<b>
</b>

"Do not over-praise me as the Christians over-praised Jesus the son of Mary. I am His slave, so say: 'God's slave and messenger'."

[Narrated by both Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

The messenger of God, Jesus(pbuh), says:

<b>
</b>

"And this is life eternal, that they might know You the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent."

[John 17:3]

I think this is enough as a brief defence, may Allah accept from me, it is either you love the Prophet and beleive him and follow his word and steps, or deny him then you lose your life in this world and the hereafter, if I am right from Allah if I am mistaken then from my ignorance mistake, and satan.
