Assalamualaykum....
let us put it this way brothers and sisters....
in Hijriah calendar, we calculate our years by the moon orbiting around the earth...
so one thousand years is one thousand times the moon circled around earth....
in this one thousand years, the distance traveled by the moon is equal to the distance traveled by the light in one day. the angels are created from light, remember...
so that's why one thousands years is equal to one day....
actually, there's another thing concerning about this matter, it is about the greatest speed, C, if you study physics. but it is not that easy to explain. so allow me to take some time to summarize it. Insha Allah....

Arif I just want to confirm your understanding of the Ayah, the Ayah is talking about the calculation of time to Allah compared to us human beings that is the main point in the Ayah. Again Allah Is Showing us He Does not need time the way we do to accomplish. R u getting the most important difference. It has nothing to do with speed of light. Or else Allah Would not Have Said <b>one day to Allah
