Unchangable, perfect and unique. Yes, the Qoran is like this. Non the less, there might be books which are entitled the Qoran and hold different and false information. These books are not the Qoran truely. Yet you ask, which one is the true?

Simple, the one which holds the truth is the one used all over the world and including north africa.

There are different sects in Islam, just like Christianity, and you wont believe what alot of these sects' beliefs are. Yet, to make a long story short, I wont be surprised if they had a different book which they claim is the Qoran. Non the less, the majority of the Islamic nation is Sunnis, and so am I and thats the book which is followed throughout the world (except for a minority). And that, my friend, is the true book.

Yet I would like to tell you that it is from you that I hear of the several Qorans. I hope I made it clear, the original version remains untampered, however much copies you might have that look different.

Take a look at the Bible which has been spoken off in other topics, the original version is lost forever. Thats what we meant by "the Qoran is protected and will never change".

But the Qur'an all over the world is supposed to be IDENTICAL?

It is not, there are many differences.

The Qur'an is supposed to be UNCHANGEABLE?

How can this be if the books are not exactly the same?

In the last century, an Institute of Munich University in Germany collected FORTY-TWO THOUSAND copies of the Holy Qur'an including manuscripts and printed texts produced in each period in the various parts of the Islamic World. Research work was carried out on these texts for half a century, at the end of which the researchers concluded that apart from copying mistakes, there was no discrepancy in the text of these forty-two thousand copies, even though they belonged to the period between the 1st Century Hijra to 14th Century Hijra and had been procured from all parts of the world. Sorry, I just have one thing to say.

There are two of the originals that exsist to this day. One is located in Turkey, and the other somewhere in south Asia (old Persian Empire). All and any translations are written for the masses in various languages using the originals. There are strict guidlines for translation I don't know them all but I do know this:

It must be readable and make sense to the non-Arabic reader without straying too far from the Arabic language. And it must be approved by some comittee and they put a SEAL on it, and that is how you know if you should read it or not. It is difficult to translate into some languages, and they have tough guidelines. There are people out there who have produced false Quran's, and I see you have found a few of there websites. I get those emails sometimes too Whisper. In the end we all get what we deserve for our efforts.

The Quran is meant for all times all people as it is the last of Allah's relevations. If you are going to compare two of them, make sure they both have the seal on it and you will be okay. One is available through Dar-us-Salaam. Ask Purgetory since he's going with you, He will probably know the bookstore online.

1 - A. L. M.

2 - This is the book; In it is guidance sure, without doubt To those Who Fear God;

3 - Who believe in the Unseen, Are steadfast in prayer And spend out of What We Have provided for them;

4 - And who believe in the Revelation Sent to thee, And sent before thy time, And (in their hearts) Have the assurance of the Hereafter.

5 - They are on (true) guidance, From their Lord, and it is These who will prosper.
