Now It is Time to AWAKE

Quote:Those flaws you mentioned are minor ones. Christians don't practice it, yet it doesn't mean Christianity is false. [/quote:519e8ace72]So you so say the word of Allah is only a minor thing? That is why Christianity is flawed. You do whatever you want to, and ignore the words of Allah.

There are no minor issues in religion. If it is the words of Allah, you must follow it, no questions asked. This is what Muslims believe. The Qur'an is the final words of Allah, this is what we must follow.

As for the Bible verses:

1 Corinthians 11 5-14

But any woman who prays or prophesies without something on her head brings shame to her head. In fact, she may as well shave her head. A woman should wear something on her head. It is a digrace for a woman to shave her head of cut her hair. But if she refuses to wear something on her head let her cut off her hair.

Men were created to be like God and bring honor to God. This means that aman should not wear anything on his head. Women were created to bring honor to men. It was the woman who was made from man, and not the man who was made from a women. He wwasn't created for her. She was created for him. And so, because of this, and also because of the angles, a woman ought to wear something on her head, as a sign of her authority.

As far as the Lord is concerned, men and women need each other. It is true that the first woman came from a man, but all other men have been given birth by women. Yet God is the one who created everything. Ask yourselves if it is proper for a woman to pray without something on her head.

If the second part of the commandment (that women should cover their heads) is from God, then Moslems should also accept the first part of the commandment and male Moslems should pray with heads bared. [/quote:519e8ace72]This was later prescribed by Allah for women to cover their bodies and head. As for men in Islam wearing a cap, I am not sure about that. Can you help me Brothers and Sisters? Also please correct me if I stated anything wrong. May Allah forgive me if I did. I do not want give the wrong message.

The Qur'an is the Third Book of Allah, which our religion has been perfected for us to follow. That is why we must follow this book. Allah sent Muhammed(SAW) as the last prophet to convey the word of Allah, because man was not following the previous Books, doing whatever they wanted. This angered Allah, so he gave us the Qur'an as the last words of Allah for us to follow.

I said:

Quote:and those verses you posted would have no effect in me.[/quote:cb83170625]Then you replied:

<blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="456" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Saying the verses have no effect on you shows your closed mind.[/quote:cb83170625]<blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="456" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Deuteronomy is part of your Bible right? It still must be followed then, unless you do not believe in the Old Testement. [/quote:cb83170625]

As I mentioned, those were given to the Jews to keep because they were chosen. Those I believe aren't applicable now [b:cb83170625]because[/b:cb83170625] of Jesus' death of the cross.

Take for example the animal sacrifice. Before, Jews were asked to offer an clean animal each day and God would transfer the sins of the offerer to the animal. But because of Jesus' sacrificial death, the last and perfect sacrifice, this practice is no longer necessary.

Jesus summed up the commandments into two that is:

[i:cb83170625]Luk 10:27 And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.[/i:cb83170625]

And that I believe, is what I should follow.

b. Flaws in Christianity I said, not flaws of Christians. Just because there's something we Christians don't follow(in your perspective) doesn't mean that Christianity is false.

We don't view somethings the same the same way. You follow most(if not, all) of the things written in the Quran, but that doesn't mean Christians [b:cb83170625]have[/b:cb83170625] to do that.

I want to hear major flaws that concerns Jesus' claim being God, His crucifixion and death.

But anyway, you said:

<blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="456" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>I have the Qur'an, it is the word of Allah. Unchanged since day one.[/quote:cb83170625]and I replied:

<blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="456" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>and how can you back this claim up? [/quote:cb83170625]Well?

This has already been answered for you amai. I believe it was in the 'Do you guys Love Allah Thread.' So enough of the same old song and dance please.

And I want to say this: Brother Todd is correct. There is no such thing as MINOR things in religion. If we all took the attitude that minor things do not matter, corruption is bound to happen, and ignorance will become the norm. And no that is not a personal attack on you amai.

But you really should not call part of the Bible invalid. Or part of it's teachings for that matter. Jesus did not come to do away with what had been previously revealed, but rather to add more light to it. That can be found in the Gospel amai, book of Matthew. I tell you this so you will not be charged with blasphemy by your own book on the Day of Judgement.

There is more I would like to add, but I think for now we can just wait for Whispers reply to wel-mel question and go from there.

Thanks! [Image: smile.gif]
