Who Was Jesus (as)?
#21

ChristyNicole,

When quoting the gospel according to John, you may want to investigate the authenticity of the book of John itself. There are many quotes attributed to Jesus in all four gospels, however,

1. No one knows who the real authors are of ANY of these books.

2. There are additions to, and deletions of these books in their original form.

3. Through translations of Aramaic, Hebrew, to Greek, to English, meanings in these gospels have been lost.

Christians have quoted from the book of John until they have been blue in the face, meanwhile, what they quote from can not even be proven to be authentic. It is a fact that NO ONE knows who the authors are of ANY of these books.

So...... in response to your claim that no one goes unto the father but through Jesus, that just holds no weight with me. None whatsoever. Unless you provide a book like the Quran, it will never be the truth to me. Plain and simple. So quoting from all these gospels is pointless, empty, and meaningless.

This may have come across harsh, but I've been a Christian my whole life, I have studied the Bible, read commentaries, read books studying one gospel at a time, and I was left feeling pretty cheated, lied to, and disappointed in Christianity.

What you really need to do, instead of quoting out of the Bible, learn about the history behind the Bible itself.

Hi ChristyNicole,

I think it is the first time I joined in discussion with you.

Some thoughts came up when you wrote about prayer.

I can understand that you pray and talk to Allah, SWT many people do that. And I don't think anybody is saying that you are not.

But let me tell you a little bit of the prayer in Islam. It is not a 'floating' issue. How the prayers came to be 5, is rather interesting, since the amount of them was decided when the Prophet of Islam, SAAWS did his famous night journey Israa and Mirajj up to Allah, SWT to the highest heaven, beyond the lote-tree and there Allah, SWT spoke directly to Muhammad, SAAWS. And here Allah, SWT made Salaah, prayer, compulsory five times a day for Muslims.

So Allah, SWT said, ''They are five prayer every day Muhammad, each being rewarded as ten, so that makes fifty times of prayer. He who intends to do a good deed and does not do it will have a good deed recorded for him, and if he does it, it will be recorded for him as ten; whereas, he who intends to do an evil deed and does not do it will have nothing recorded against him.''

So the prayer in Islam is so important that Allah, SWT chose to reveal it when He spoke directly to the Prophet, SAAWS above the heavens.

That is why we are also so eager to follow this command since it comes from the highest Authority.

And it is very helpful to have a routine when it comes to prayer. Then you don't forget them to let the worldly issue take over or have priority.

Regards
