Basic Questions Which I've Never Asked...

Rock welcome back,

Curious, u refered to Gospel of Jesus as the goodnews part.

If u r looking for this, the good news. Allah mentioned in Quran the word give glad tidings to varied categories like: thopse who believed, do righteous good deeds, the patient ones and other adjectives. The glad tidings included Gardens

under which flow rivers (of Paradise).

Every time they will be provided

with a fruit therefrom,

they will say:

"This is what we were provided with before,"

and they will be given things in resemblance

and they shall have therein pure mates,

and they will abide therein forever. 116 times. I m sure this is enough of good news.

Another approach that Allah Used to help mankind realize their place is for example:

"Declare (O Muhammad) unto My slaves, that truly, I am the Oft-Forgiving, the Most-Merciful." (Quran 15:49).

Not to forget that Allah initiated each single Surah (chapter) of Quran with In the Name of Allah,

The All-Merciful, the Mercy-giving to further underline and stress this essential attribute of Allah, except sura 9.

And also Allah Gave mankind an important principle to be aware of:

"Say: "O My slaves who have transgressed against themselves (by committing evil deeds and sins)! Despair not of the Mercy of Allah, verily Allah forgives all sins. Truly, He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful." (Quran 39:53)

"Verily, Allah forgives not that partners should be set up with him in worship, but He forgives except that (anything else) to whom He pleases, and whoever sets up partners with Allah in worship, he has indeed invented a tremendous sin."(Quran 4:48)

Insh a Allah I tried to sum up the good news which u may actually call the quran as a whole good news as Allah described it in one of the 116 glad tiding positions :)

Thanks for the answer. My intention was to simply gain an understanding of where Muslims place their hope and faith. You've answered well. I have a clearer picture.
