any excuse for not praying?

as salam alykom

I have a few comments here.

Ballerina, Nasra gave you her encouraging side to prayer. But why dont u also in addition to what she said, remember that prayer is nothing but your meeting with Allah, is when you dedicate time to only talk to Allah. I understand that we can talk to Allah at any time and on any position. However, prayer is the closed meeting, makes you feel very special, when no one else is allowed to interrput, when u dont answer phone calls or get busy with other issues. The best thing is that, although the meeting is with the Lord Creator of the Creators, Owner of the Kingdom Who Deserves immense and incomparable respect, yet you are, the humble devotee and creation, is the one who initiate the meeting when u say Allah u Akbar. More so u r the one who ends it up Sobhan Allah. Allah Never dismisses anyone. I mean if u stand there praying for hourse Allah Shall never dismiss u, tell u I m tired, or having other things to attend to. O Allah, just iimagine this, Allah Is there listening to you reciting the fatiha with all its breath taking contents and the dialogue therein between u and Allah. I think I better put this on another thread.

Think of all this, Insh aAllah u will find that your hurry up to prayer. Most important is that each time you miss or delay prayer, give out a small amount of money for sadaqa. This is a tip against Shaytan who of course strives to make Muslim abandon the connection with Allah. Think of Salat as a word in Arabic which is derived from Silah (connection). You are connecting to Allah. Just imagine.

Suhail I like this idea a lot, but I want to consult the rest of the members on this thread, shall we dedicate a special thread for it? Personally I think we should because this can be really very interesting.

If we all agree, Insh a Allah I will split your post Suhail and post my experiences.
