I am Jennifer. I married at the age of 18 and have been blessed with three wonderful children. I am now 28.
I took a comprehensive study of the Bible that left me very confused, and without answers. My desire has always been to do my best in the eyes of the creator. I found out about Islam because of the media coverage in response to Sept. 11th. I previously knew nothing of it but was amazed from the media alone the similarities between Islam and Christianity. This propelled me to look into was Islam is all about. When I first opened the Quran I was in tears. I began to find the answers to my unanswered questions. In short, Allah knocked on the door, and I opened it. Our family accepted Islam in January of 2002.
My family recently moved away from our small town to join the nearest local Muslim community in another state. I am employed at the Majid as the weekend school secretary, which has enabled me to get to know and communicate with many members of our community.
I always have a difficult time telling this story because I don’t think I can convey in words how this time of searching was for me, and how I feel now. I just thank Allah for taking me this far. He has given my family a very precious gift.
