Howdy.
Yes, I'm very aware that not all Muslims are Arab, but the word seems to be used somewhat interchangebly on this board so I thought I'd just stick with the common terminology used here. Anyway, yeah, muslims come in all flavors.
As far as what Muslimah said, about what I view as racist, she views as simply following the Qu'ran, both are true. One can follow a pure ideology and still be racist. For instance, if I see a suspicious person wandering around my neighborhood, the Neighborhood Watch compells me to call the police. However, since Blacks are often singled out as being "suspicious" and this make up the vast number of suspicious persons claims, I am partaking in a racist action by simply following the law. For a more extreme case of following the rules and being racist at the same time, see Eichmann.
THis is not to say that Islam teaches racial hate or hostility. "Racism" simply means having a non-critical racial element. Much as "Capitalism" means having Capitalist elements; Capitalism does not mean a hatred of Capitalists. Hope that clears things up a tad. Another good read: "Critical White Studies" by Richard Delgado and Jean Stefancic.
