Salaam Alaikum!
I had a similar-albeit fruitful-discussion about this with my future "partner." Some time ago, she asked me my opinion on the anthropological view of death. I responded: There are voluminous views on death anthropologically, philosophically, neurologically, etc.each thus having their own robust arguments. It essentially comes down to faith.
I'll repeat what I said to her that night. There are no convincing arguments for or against the Islamic view of death whether it be from a social—philosophic—psychological discipline; we'll all have to wait until the big sleep to unearth the answer, won't we?

Ibn I think as usual just because of your writing style which is much affected by your intellectual context that members may take your stand wrongly, I can simply translate what u r saying here, and I guess u were talking to a non Muslim trying to give her an answer but not thru Islamic sources. It is true that we all have to wait until the big sleep to see our destination which is even know to the one who is suffering stupor of death. I think u meant that we will all face the truth which some may deny? did I translate your wording correctly, being a translator.......
