It is very dissappointing to hear this comming from a muslim sister, but all in all I hope Allah grants you the guidance and strength in faith to correct your path.
Hijab is far from what you seem to perceive it. It shields the woman from all that is unhealthy and evil. Sometime people take that to "metaforically" to uderstand the true benefits of such a act of worship.
Imagine with me if you will, a society that encourages the objectification of women. Allowing or should I say encouraging the beautification of women in public. the more women exceed and out-do each other in the presentation of their appearance to others the more they attract the attention of men. This in return affects the man in a way that he will feel complelled (if he is weak) to look and unwillingly start comparing the woman that he sees in public to the partner he has in life. Needless to say that this can lead to disatisfaction with his curent partner which may lead and result in "marital" or even relationship tensions between the two.
On the other hand imagine a society that "covers", "protects" the woman by perserving her beauty to only be viewed by the husband or partner. As the man and woman go about their daily lives protecting themselves by lowering their gaze and wearing hijab and abayah, they both in return appreciate each other when it comes time to beautify themselves for each other. This results in constant build up of physical and emotional attraction between the two partners giving way for their relationship to develop in a healthy, lawful and natural way. which would ultimatley result in a stable household and in return produces a string societal moral fibre that protects that societys' future generations for many years to come.
