Where has anyone stated that they supported Saddam?  Yes, these abuses occured under the reign of Saddam.  He is a bad man.  Period.  Let us look at who armed this bad man.  The US did.  The US armed Iraq hoping that it would destroy Iran.  Whoops.  No love for Saddam but the US needs to be held accountable for their actions as well.


Hazams- For someone who appears to dislike sweeping generalizations, you sure do like to make quite a few of them.

If you didn't know there were also many European nations that armed Saddam as well (look into France and Germeny for details). And yes, during the war Russia was helping to arm Iran. It was a war, and countries like the U.S. and Germany thought they could make a profit on it. Now, if you look into previous wars, you will realize that this kind of thing happend all the time. We didn't tell Saddam to use those weapons now did we? It is like buying a gun, killing someone, and having a bunch of lunatics go, "Hey, look who sold him that weapon!!!" To say it again, I am sick of that argument.
