Quote: Question: What are "newly invented (introduced) matters" and what is the meaning of this?
Honouring the birthdays of Prophets and righteous people as holidays and celebrating them. They perform deeds they claim will bring them closer to Allaah, especially on the day or the night of the birthday or even in that month.
There are many other such things, too numerous to mention, be they innovations or superstitions for which Allaah has revelaed no sanction and which have not been confirmed by the Sunnah of Allaah's Messenger (sal-Allaahu `alayhe wa sallam).
well.......in Many Muslim countries........Prophet Muhammed's (pbuh) birthday is still celebrated.........i never knew that...untill some months earlier.
So If ppl do celebrate it.........they say that 'we do it to honour the Prophet Muhammed & there's no wrong init
I know that in Sunnah there's no such thing as that......But if we just celebrate it to be happy that on the specified day our Last Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) was born. I think this isn't any 'sin' by doing so
Unless there's a saying in Quran or Sunnah about celebrating B-days !
