When the Prophet (pbuh) was dying, he wished Allah to bring him to the Most High Friend, and appeared to see this Most High Friend before him as he died.
Many people believe that this special Friend was indeed Isa al-Masih (pbuh) , since the Prophet (pbuh) had also said that of all the different prophets, Isa-al-Masih (pbuh) was the one he felt closest to.
It therefore seems to me that the only safe way to die, is with my life in the hands of Isa al-Masih (pbuh) since I know that my deeds do not merit Paradise in any way.
