I am not a muslim and I have lived in the Middle East for over 20 years. I have the greatest respect for your religion and deplore the loss of values I see in the West. The value you place on the family is not lost on me (I am Irish) as we still have similar views. I cannot under any circumstance whatsoever condone acts of barbarity which we have seen recently - is this Islam? they claim it is! why do you think the West is hardening in its attitude - where is the rampant denial that this has anything to do with pure Islam? You claim double standards of the west - and I will not deny that - but what of your double standards?????? Do you really wish to engulf the world in a clash of civilitations? To prove what?
