Abu Bakrah (Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had said:



When two Muslims combat each other with the sword, the killed and the killer both are doomed to Hell. I said: Messenger of Allah! As to the one who kills it is understandable, but what about the killed? He (the Holy Prophet) replied: The other longed to murder his opponent.

- This warns Muslims against fighting each others because this incurs Allah's wrath.


- The warning in this hadith is given to the killer and the killed if they have been fighting with no legal excuse.
