best translated as if u grant Allah victory, in an implication of course to supporting His deen, observing His rules, fighting against His enemies and so forth not physically support or help Allah, certainly He does not need us.

Now when Allah Almighty says here as " among them are some who have faith" which it is in arabic المؤمنون it means the true beleivers in Allah and all his profits. So he first addressed muslims as true beleivers who beleive in monotheism and followers of prophet Muhammad(Pbuh), and he talked about the manners of true muslims, and then he said that if those people of scripture beleived in what u beleived it would have been better for them, and then Allah wanted to make clear to allmankind from that time uptodate, that not all of them will stay on their trinity beleifs, some at the time of the prophet who beleived, and some who will beleive later in future, so this is another sign that these words are from Allah and not the prophet, because, it is talking of future ahead.
So if christians do not beleive in prophet Muhammad as prophet from Allah and does not beleive in Quran as the word of Allah, then they are not Mu'minoon, true beleivers, because they adress prophet Muhammad as liar(a'othobillah), and that the quran was taught to him by monks. So those who have faith are the true beleivers who beleive in onnes of Allah, and beleive in all prophets and prophet Muhammad as well. Our scholar sheikh sayed nooh said that christians who beleive in onnes of Allah, and heard of prophet Muhammad and did not beleive in him, then they are unbeleivers, because Allah Almighty said in his Holy Book"
Bismillah Al-Rahman Al-Raheem:
85. And whoever seeks a religion other than Islâm, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers.
Al-Imran
and then at the end of the surrah Allah Almighty says :
Bismillah Al-Rahman Al-Raheem:
199. And there are, certainly, among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), those who believe in Allâh and in that which has been revealed to you, and in that which has been revealed to them, humbling themselves before Allâh. They do not sell the Verses of Allâh for a little price, for them is a reward with their Lord. Surely, Allâh is Swift in account.
Al-Imran
So here Allah Almighty explains that those who have faith among the the people of the scripture are those who humbly beleive in Allah and what is revealed to them and to prophet Muhammad.
Another point here that we all muslims should know that when we want to look at the Quran we do not take it as it is written sometimes, especially the english translation, because it does not convey the true meaning of the Quran, there are some ayas that are clear for the reader and others that are not and only Allah and the scholars who know the true meaning as Allah says at the begining of Al_imran:
Bismillah Al-Rahman Al-raheem:
7. It is He Who has sent down to you (Muhammad ) the Book (this Qur'ân). In it are Verses that are entirely clear, they are the foundations of the Book [and those are the Verses of Al-Ahkâm (commandments, etc.), Al-Farâ'id (obligatory duties) and Al-Hudud (legal laws for the punishment of thieves, adulterers, etc.)]; and others not entirely clear. So as for those in whose hearts there is a deviation (from the truth) they follow that which is not entirely clear thereof, seeking Al-Fitnah (polytheism and trials, etc.), and seeking for its hidden meanings, but none knows its hidden meanings save Allâh. And those who are firmly grounded in knowledge say: "We believe in it; the whole of it (clear and unclear Verses) are from our Lord." And none receive admonition except men of understanding. (Tafsir At-Tabarî).
So I hope I added to what brother Deen and sister Muslimah said. May Allah Almighty accepts from me, if I am mistaken from my ignorance if I am right from Allah Al-mighty.
