The true Origin of Yaser Arafat

Was Arafat related to this Husseini or not ? There are a lot of different spellings of Husseyni all over the place. As far as I can tell, Arafat was born in Egypt and grew up there, studying in Cairo.

Claims that he was related to the Jerusalem Husseini clan through his mother (an Abul Saoud), which previously appeared on this page, are shown false given that the Husseini clan designation comes from his father's side.

Palestinians seem to love him but I am not sure why.
