(Assalam)
I am a brother from the same mind, unblind!
I must say, that it does make a refreshing change to see muslims looking beyond their noses and actually doing some research on the reality/events.
Like the brothers and sisters have said that Saddam Hussein was an American Agent (until he was captured like a rat in a hole, and by the way, this is how Allah [swt] humiliates those who betray the muslim ummah). Saddam was put into power to reduce the British influence in Iraq which is why he got rid of many people who were pro-British.
Then Saddam fought Iran in what I would call the 1st Gulf War (both in collaboration with the US) using chemical weapons to cause instability in the region. Ayatollah was threatening to spread his revolution throughout the middle east which was to scare the arab govts. to seek help from the US so the US can come in and have a physical presence in the middle east. But this did not materialise.
The next plan was to invade a neighbouring country Kuwait i.e. the 2nd Gulf war. The invasion sent shock-waves throughout the middle east and we all know that the arab regimes ran to the US for physical protection and the US managed to esablish bases and to this day maintains its hegemony over the region from the help from her trusted friends!
The same can be said about Abdul Nasser of Egypt, he nationalised the Suez so to reduce the British involvement in Egypt and make America superior in the region.
Likewise in Afghanistan, when the US was supporting the "mujahideen" financially, militarily to defeat Russia. Again, muslim blood was spilt in order to achieve US's ambitions for the region.
One of these divisions was headed by Bin Laden himself and was receiving assistance from the CIA. So all these so called leaders/heros to emerge in the past decades or century have some links with western govts. who need their existance inorder to achieve their aims and plans.
Radiyah is correct to say that whenever the US is willing to capture Laden they will (when the time is right for them). But at this moment in time Laden's freedom justifies the "war on terror" i.e. Islam.
So the geo-political struggle which took place is at the expense of the muslims.
Hadith of rasool (saw) The sanctity of a Muslim’s blood is more in the sight of Allah than the sanctity of Al Ka’aba.
