Is Jesus the Same as God?
#6

Quote:not exactly "discover" islam, but i'm willing to be open-minded about these things. if you say that all things written in the Quran are true, then i'll accept that. i'll try to support my faith not by saying "it's a lie" but studying things written in there, then prove you otherwise. i also plan to answers some of your questions regarding Christianity.(but not exactly "preach") [Image: smile.gif]

i have a some questions too:

1. is Allah a "jinn" or a "moon god"?

2. why are some(or most) muslims persecuting jews and christians? instead of threatening them to force them to convert to islam, why not prove that your belief is the "truth"? that's what most christians do.

3. i heard quran is like the torah and the old testament. then, are there messianic prophecies there too?

4. has allah appeared to anyone other than mohammed?(sp?)

if you have some questions, you can post it too. let's convince each other.[/quote:1a6cc2e14e]

Lets take one question and answer it:

1. is Allah a "jinn" or a "moon god"?[/quote:1a6cc2e14e]ALLAH (SWT) is nither, he (SWT) is both their God. He (SWT) has created both. Both was created before humans. Jinn used to populate the earth before humans did. They did a lot of mischiefs during their times on Earth and ALLAH (SWT) sent down the Angels to fight them and capture them. (you will need to read the explanation of the Quran to know such things)

2. why are some(or most) muslims persecuting jews and christians? instead of threatening them to force them to convert to islam, why not prove that your belief is the "truth"? that's what most christians do.[/quote:1a6cc2e14e]We don't force anybody to convert to Islam. [u:1a6cc2e14e]There's no compulsion in Islam[/u:1a6cc2e14e].[/color:1a6cc2e14e]

Al-Baqarq

[256] Let there be no compulsion in religion: Truth stands out clear from Error: whoever rejects Evil and believes in Allah hath grasped the most trustworthy hand-hold, that never breaks. And Allah heareth and knoweth all things.

[257] Allah is the protector of those who have faith: from the depths of darkness He will lead them forth into light. Of those who reject faith the patrons are the Evil Ones: from light they will lead them forth into the depths of darkness. They will be Companions of the Fire, to dwell therein (forever).[/color:1a6cc2e14e]

We do NOT have to prove anything to anybody about the truth of Islam. Islam has been here for over 1400 Hijri years now. What needs to be proven has already been. Weither people find the light or not is completely up to ALLAH (SWT).

We only invite people to see the light at the end of their dark tunnel. Weither they choose to follow it is up to each individual and before that as I mentioned is up to ALLAH (SWT), He (SWT) is the one who choosses who is worth seeing that light.

Let me give you an example:

Our Prophet (SAAWS) tried to guide his loved uncle who raised him after his parents died. He (SAAWS) loved him so much and always tried to guide him to see the light, but ALLAH (SWT) did NOT guide the uncle to see the light. ALLAH (SWT) told Mohammad (SAAWS) so in the Quran:

Al-Baqara

[272] [u:1a6cc2e14e][b:1a6cc2e14e]It is not required of thee (O Messenger), to set them on the right path, but Allah sets on the right path whom He pleaseth[/b:1a6cc2e14e][/u:1a6cc2e14e]. Whatever of good ye give benefits your own souls, and ye shall only do so seeking the "Face" of Allah. Whatever good ye give, shall be rendered back to you, and ye shall not be dealt with unjustly.[/color:1a6cc2e14e]

Yunus

[25] But Allah doth call to the Home of Peace: [b:1a6cc2e14e][u:1a6cc2e14e]He doth guide whom He pleaseth to a Way that is straight[/u:1a6cc2e14e][/b:1a6cc2e14e].[/color:1a6cc2e14e]

An-Nahl

[93] [b:1a6cc2e14e]If Allah so willed, He could make you all one People: but He leaves straying whom He pleases, and He guides whom He pleases: but ye shall certainly be called to account for all your actions[/b:1a6cc2e14e].[/color:1a6cc2e14e]

Al-Qasas

[56] [b:1a6cc2e14e]It is true thou wilt not be able to guide every one whom thou lovest; but Allah guides those whom He will and He knows best those who receive guidance.[/b:1a6cc2e14e][/color:1a6cc2e14e]

This Ayah is pretaning to the story of his uncle as I told you.

Fatir

[8] Is he, then, to whom the evil of his conduct is made alluring, so that he looks upon it as good, (equal to one who is rightly guided)? For Allah leaves to stray whom He wills, and guides whom He wills. So let not thy soul go out in (vainly) sighing after them: for Allah knows well all that they do![/color:1a6cc2e14e]

So you see, no one is forcing you to convert, it's NOT up to me, I can only tell you what I know. I can never force you to convert or even convience you after what I have just told you. Think about that and don't be mislead like others are.

3. i heard quran is like the torah and the old testament. then, are there messianic prophecies there too?[/quote:1a6cc2e14e]The Quran is like the other 3 books that was reavled from ALLAH (SWT) to his Prophets (SAAWS):

- The Zabour which was revealed to Dawoud (David).

- The Torah which was revealed to Musa (Moses).

- The Ingeil which was revealed to Isa' (Jesus).

The last is the Quran which was revealed to Mohammad (SAAWS).

They all [u:1a6cc2e14e]were[/u:1a6cc2e14e] the same cause they were revealed from the same source, ALLAH (SWT), our God.

There are no messianic prophecies mentioned in the Quran cause Mohammad (SAAWS) is the Last of all Prophets and Messengers.

Howerver, a lot among the One eye messiah that will show up at the end of days were mentioned in the Prophetic Ahadith, which are the sayings of Prophet Mohammad (SAAWS) to the point that it gives detailed description about that messiah and what exactly will happen and that Isa' (Jesus) will kill him.

4. has allah appeared to anyone other than mohammed?(sp?)[/quote:1a6cc2e14e]Whoever told you that ALLAH (SWT) appeared to anyone has mislead you badly.

ALLAH (SWT) NEVER appeared to Mohammad (SAAWS) or Moses before him.

Al-A'raf

[143] When Musa came to the place appointed by Us, and his Lord addressed him, he said: "O my Lord! show (Thyself) to me, that I may look upon Thee." Allah said: "By no means canst thou see Me (direct); but look upon the mount; if it abide in its place, then shalt thou see Me." When his Lord manifested His glory on the Mount, He made it as dust, and Musa fell down in a swoon. When he recovered his senses he said: "Glory be to Thee! to Thee I turn in repentance, and I am the first to believe."[/color:1a6cc2e14e]

I hope that you at least read this.

You can post any other questions that might come to your head.
