Bismillah
Praise be to Allah, the All Knowing, the All Aware, blessing be upon His final Messenger Mohammad Ibn Abdullah, his household and companions,
In many situations specially during tests and tribulations, you remind the person who is suffering of Ayah 30 from Surat As Shura: “
Whatever affliction befalls you is because of what your own hands have committed. And He pardons much. (Quran 42:30)
Usually, a Muslim would argue, how about nations like Japan, China, Germany..etc. They enjoy luxurious easy lives. True, because they worked hard seeking the best in this Dunia, and they never aspired the hereafter. They continue that non Muslim nations go only with their own values and principles, I mean they do not apply divine values but rather manmade ones. Yet Allah Promised to provide the fruit of their work in complete but in this life only as explained in the following Ayah:
" مَن كَانَ يُرِيدُ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَزِينَتَهَا نُوَفِّ إِلَيْهِمْ أَعْمَـٰلَهُمْ فِيهَا وَهُمْ فِيهَا لَا يُبْخَسُونَ" (هود: 15)
“Whoever desires ˹only˺ this worldly life and its luxuries, We will pay them in full for their deeds in this life—nothing will be left out” (Quran 11:15)
For the purpose of clarification, the literal translation of the meaning in Arabic of the last part says We will pay them in full for their deeds in this life and in this life they will not be denied anything. Please observe that Allah Almighty mentioned in this life twice as form of confirmation. Allah Willed to ensure that readers would realise the he/she would receive his/her full due rights or better say the reward and fruit of their efforts and deeds in this life and it is in this life only. Nothing would be left in the hereafter. This is what they were looking for. This explains the development… etc of disbelieving nations. As Allah Almight is Adl (Just), He Shall not deny them the fruit of their efforts..
