The Passion of the Christ

Assalamualaikum everyone

I watced the movie a few days ago (astagfirullah Allah please forgive me if i did something wrong). I watched the movie with the same intention as wel_mel. I think what Dan is saying is correct i.e that the movie doesnt have to do anything with Jesus's (pbuh) life or his teachings.But according to Mel Gibson he actually wants the people to know what Jesus (pbuh) did for the humanity and then follow him according to christians .I suppose his message has been given in a good way because many of my christian friends told me that all that was there in the movie is in the bible.

I want to know what do we muslims think about Jesus's crucification. Are we supposed to believe in it .If not how did Jesus(pbuh) went from this world.
