A lot of western women have doubts about the above issues, but once they are understood for what they are, the doubts usually melt away. Why not look deeper than what you see on the surface and you may have a different perspective about these things. Just my suggestion. I am also an American women. I now wear hijab. I have lived both lives, and the thing that the hijab gives me that I did not have ever before is FREEDOM. God decrees for us what is best for us, and knows what we do not.
