Jazaki Allah for the full story. Watcing CNN this morning as I ate breakfast, I only got a small written blurb at the bottom of the screen. A helicopter attack killed jihad members and a by-stander. How come any time a child is killed in the US it is readily pointed out yet when it happens elsewhere children are called "by-standers?" (This is a rhetorical question.)

Edit- and perhaps you simply missed 11 year odl in the ticker, as that is the lingo they used in the article as well....... "The missile killed the 11-year-old bystander "
In this case, bystander is important to disassociate the boy from the jihad member (highly looked down upon here)
