Iraq...what democracy?
#2

Quote:Originally posted by saalik It is interesting to see the hypocrisy of the u.s. govt in Iraq.

Now the illegal occupiers are placing ridiculous, undemocratic restrictions on protests.

Some examples are....the Iraqis must not wear the thobe/juba (the traditional mens clothing), they must apply in writing to protest, they must estimate how many persons will attend, how long the protest will last.

This is typical of the two-faced \"democracy\" being forced on other people by a terrorist occupying force.
We should have just implemented marshall law like we did in Germany and Japan. Almost no attacks against us, and then handed over a democratic nation to the people.

Iraq will have it's day, and she will be free. I look forward to it.

In the meantime, I didn't realize that a warzone couldn't have restriction that make everyone safer- keep in mind that a majority of the recent bppby traps and attacks in Iraq have injured Iraqis NOT foreign troops.

Get over it - were you one of those that expected the reconstruction to be done in a matter of weeks??
